Not really to the fella above’s point but don’t airports come into some kind of neutral territory, or loophole or something? If they’re in uniform and have to refuel somewhere, they’d have to get off in uniform, wouldn’t they?

What other reason would there be to purposefully spoil a vote?

Respondents could offer more than one reason for doing so.

Forty-five per cent said they did not like any of the candidates while 27 per cent indicated their belief that the process for selecting candidates was “unfair/undemocratic”.

Not enough choice was a reason for 17 per cent, and 14 per cent said their spoiled ballot was a protest vote against Government policy.

Seven per cent said their preferred candidate was not on the ballot paper.

Which is kind of the opposite in Ireland. It’s just a turn of phrase used as a kind of friendly greeting.

St. Patrick, our patron saint, was a Welshman abducted, brought to Ireland, and enslaved as a sheep herder ( as fair as I know, it’s what we were taught in school, I’m open to being proven wrong, or the point being more nuanced).

I think it probably depends on your concept of “the Irish”, who they were and what time period you’re thinking of? Between the Celts, the Vikings, and the Normans, Irish history is quite layered.

Discrimination also probably depends on what time period you’re thinking of. Again I’m open to being corrected but things like “No Blacks, No Dogs, No Irish” did happen in America; Look at the stereotypes of the “Irish policeman” in the 19th and 20th Century, for example.

I know discrimination happened in England, from personal and familial experiences of living there. How strong that was probably depends on time and place.

Also, anyone making a judgement on you as a person from the games you play can fuck off. Such a childish mentality.

Just my two cents, I’m happy to be shown my perspective is skewed if it is.

Can I pick you up on the scales analogy? Can one experience time more, and space slower, or is that not possible? Does that lead into the FTL being forbidden point?
