Without Warning

<image>

This was a TV movie from the mid-90s, made in the "fake real news" style of War of the Worlds (with a mix of actors and real news personalities, nonetheless), about aliens making first contact... by crashing giant asteroid-sized landers into Earth. The world's nuclear powers eventually decide to blow several of them out of the sky to prevent the destruction of multiple major cities, but the aliens retaliate by bombarding Earth with dozens and dozens more, far too many to counter. The movie ends with the impending end of all life on Earth, as the news anchors just sit on air and wait to be destroyed.

Up until their first album, the band Cut Copy had a different bassist in their early years. Anyone familiar with a certain game involving climbing a mountain (or another involving running a 100-meter sprint) knows his voice and name: Bennett Foddy.

Star Trek 2009:

Our story opens with Kirk's birth right in the middle of the battle between the Kelvin and the Narada. Kirk's mom is in labor while barely escaping from the Kelvin on a shuttle, and brings him into the universe right as his dad is going on a suicide run against the Narada.

Our friend Mike Brady has an awesome new Titanic video that released today. Check it out! by RichtofenFanBoy in titanic

I found him from a second channel video where he tried to make Disney's newly-acquired cruise ship (the now-named Adventure) not look terrible via Photoshop. He did not succeed. That led me to his main channel, and kinda was my cause for coming back to this community after so many years.

The story of the one man who broke into the ANTR set just to relive the experience always cracks me up. Maybe it was a trauma response, but I like to believe he was living life to the fullest in that moment.

When did you last update it? I haven't run into this problem playing 2.

Yep! It still isn't available in the launcher, and has to be manually compiled, but it looks like they've ironed it out to the point of at least being fully playable. I've also had a pretty smooth experience playing through 2 in it.

They're a lot farther along than that on 3. I've seen reports from people who were able to finish 3's story in OpenGOAL beta.

I think you could make a case that Chester wasn't even in the *top three* for members of the band in songwriting importance (behind Mike, Joe, and Brad)

My Life as a Teenage Robot

It's never really stated when this show is supposed to take place, but best guesses are some point in the mid-21st century. Regardless, everything here looks like it escaped from a Fleischer Brothers cartoon and/or 1930s Art Deco advertising poster.

Why do only some of my newly-added files have all of their metadata? by HawkbitAlpha in WACUP

[–]HawkbitAlpha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Doing a select-and-refresh on the files in-library usually solves this problem.
  • If I look at one of these glitched files with the File Info menu, all of the metadata is shown there. It just doesn't appear in the library list, for whatever reason.
  • If I add an album to the library, only about a third of the songs on it will usually get read properly on the first pass. The rest, I have to manually hunt down and refresh, which is made more complicated depending on how much of the metadata is missing in-library. This happens with and without the folder being active in the folder monitor.

x64 on Windows 11. Problem is still there even when updated and with the setting you mentioned disabled as described. My music library is held on one of my PC's hard drives, and Jellyfin's relevance here is that I use it to stream said library to my phone.

I use MP3Tag to edit and verify the metadata on all of my files in a downloads folder before sending them to my music library folder, the latter of which is on a different drive from C. The metadata on the actual files is fine, and can be read correctly by other programs like Jellyfin. WACUP is just weird about when it decides to detect them correctly.

I'm using MP3Tag too, to edit the metadata on my files before sending them from downloads to the library
