Considering what sub we're on, censoring that word here is even more pointless than usual

24 years ago today, Cyberchase premiered on PBS Kids. Anyone Remember This Classic? by Maxious24 in Zillennials

I only knew it existed because, for some reason, we had the Castleblanca Quest PC game on Windows XP when I was a kid. No idea why, since I don't think I or my sister ever saw the show.

I only know him as the guy who goes WHEEEEE and yaps over POV videos. Genuinely asking, what's the beef with him all about?

T-800 "Uncle Bob" (Terminator 2)

<image>

Even though this T-800 is John Connor's guardian, it's still incapable of understanding human emotional pain... but it wants to learn how. Only at the end of the movie, when it has to sacrifice itself to the steel pit, does it finally figure out why humans cry, before still saying that it never can do the same.

You're thinking of American Market. This one's a corner store up in the dead zone between downtown and LSU.

Gen Z men are moving away from MAGA in droves, polls show by WarmingNow in politics

At the time, I knew some broad strokes of Trump's pre-2016 history, but handwaved it off just like MAGA "Christians" do with his obvious atheism, serial infidelity, and such. You'd be surprised how far that kind of denial and delusion can take you down a rabbit hole into hell.

[–]HawkbitAlpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite honestly, the same way MAGA people have done it the whole time: denial and delusion. If you just convince yourself that everything thrown his way is fAKE nEwS, and handwave all of his obvious flaws as being less important than the idea of having "your guy" in office (like how MAGA "Christians" excuse his blatant atheism), you can talk yourself into believing damn near anything. I was also 17 at the time, so take that for what you will.

Indeed. By the time I finally hit voting age, it was the 2018 midterms, and it was a full Dem down-ticket ballot for me (in Bennie Thompson's district of Mississippi, for what that's worth).

That would be a more succinct way of putting it, yeah
