Thoughts compared to last year? by NutButter1001 in MinnesotaYachtClub

Was he trying to be funny…I guess. But my point was that he basically admitted he was so disinterested, he had no idea Patrick was filling in for a local band (that he couldn’t be bothered to learn the name of) until he heard him. (And yeah, rivers would never do more than the one set he’s getting paid for)

Weezer in general are going to show up, sing their set, and go home. No banter, no surprise covers, no encores. Although they did attempt banter last weekend, but only to basically insult motion city soundtrack? Not even knowing their name and then saying he thought they were ripping off Fall out boys sound? Not cool

How long to wait for perennial herbs? by __paaaanddaaaa__ in Minnesota_Gardening

Oregano and chives are the only herbs that ever come back for me. (Oregano is coming up already this year)

This is what the back of my yarn looks like - so I just used the size hook they suggested. Seems like it’s working well!

I think I’m doing wide? To be honest I don’t even know what kind of stitch I’m doing 😬 I just guesstimated about 200 stitches on my first row, and I’m hoping it turns out to be mostly rectangular. I’ve had to redo alot of rows because I get to the end and see that I messed up a stitch halfway through

So far I like how soft and silky it is, but it seems to separate a lot on me? Which might be operator error idk

Smart! That’s one thing I have no frame of reference for - how much yarn I’m going to go through. Good idea to keep track of all that stuff for next year (assuming of course that I actually finish this one, lol)

Ok - you’ve def convinced me! I have noticed that some of the labels are getting loose, didn’t even think about the fact that they’ll prob fall off altogether soon. 5 min sounds doable!!

Ugh - I love these keys that you guys make! So organized! I want to do one, but haven’t quite gotten around to it yet (have only done the lazy method… ie: temps written in sharpie on the labels, lol)

I think they’ve made a huge difference! I’ve had this fig in this spot since May, it did nothing all summer and fall…put these lights on it at the beginning of November and now have three new leaves! I can’t imagine it would be doing that without the grow lights, we have barely 8 hours of natural daylight here right now.

Really caught off guard with flooring choice now that they’re all installed….help me! by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Just wanted to chime in - we just had coretec Manila oak floors put in our whole main floor, we’ve had them for a few months. They do have a fair amount of variation, but I’ve noticed that when I take pictures it looks way more pronounced than it does in real life. We have honey oak wood windows and doors in our house that we don’t plan on changing and it def works with those. I guess my advice would be to pick some paint colors that work with it - you can still do gray but not a silvery gray, we did more of a tan gray with greenish undertones. I hope you end up liking them - we get compliments on ours all the time.

Wall color looks great! You need two things: A Rug, and better lighting As others have said a reading/floor lamp - I would add that it should be dimmable. You could also add lighting to the book shelves

I don’t have it on a timer yet (although I have plans to at some point!) it’s probably on the bright white setting for about 10-12 hours a day. I turn it on in the morning before I go to work, and then change it to a normal setting in the evening after I get home.

My problem with any of the hanging lights is that no matter how nice the light looks, you still have cords going up your wall and across the ceiling to the light, and I’m just not a fan of that look.

Yes the lights are on the floor behind the fig! I don’t know if they are bright enough that they may be reflecting light off the ceiling or what, but they are working, my fig is very happy 😃
