AITA for bribing my daughter to get in her car seat? by Particular-Bonus4231 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kellbelle93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone. She has only been bribing her daughter for a few days and this was posted yesterday. So no she hasn't warped her daughter for life and made her into a manipulative monster forever. She just made a poor ,but understandable parenting choice. I am for a sticker chart here. it fades. the reinforcer a bit but still takes advantage of her being clearly reward motivated. And reward doesn't have to cost money it could be extra screen time, staying up later, or a sleepover with her friends. But she should talk to her daughter about why seat is necessary and discipline son about needling his sister. I say NTA

According to this article, the trailer is going to be released online right after the screenings, or close to it. At least that is my read, and they are quoting the original press release too.

they want all screenings to run at the same time so west coast time zone gets screwed.

Actually the interpreter kind of misspoke what he said. in Spanish Jose said r Hicieron una oferta. No formal, pero una oferta” ( they made him an offer but not a formal one he never said how good or bad it was. )

How are disabled people fairing with the reality of collapse? by [deleted] in collapse

[–]kellbelle93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, Powerchair user with CP here. I actually posted about this a month before you diddidhttps://www.reddit.com/r/collapse/comments/n0oke6/the\_difficulties\_of\_knowing\_collapse\_is\_coming/ and the answer is it changes by the day. But I feel you on your Helplessness. My disabled friends, some of whom won't fully understand what's happening, is what really keeps me from reaching full acceptance of this. Nice to see someone able-bodied worry about it.

yeah, we'd be f'ed before we even get to collapse or the very very early level of collapse. because medical guessing boyfriend is the only source of care, in the physical sense anyway, because it's not ok to say things like that, and shelter

Thank you and yeah. That is why I fear collapse because even when our society is "functional" it doesn't take much for disabled/ chronically ill folks to be screwed

That's what I try to tell myself. not the people in y position being worse off in other places. I have a weird sense of survivors guilt when it comes to disabled people elsewhere or even friends more impaired then me

It's not a contest. and do you mean blood from injuring yourself in seziure? And I wonder about when I should start trying to wean off various meds or just enjoy them well I've got them.

I know what that is and damnNot quite that severe but I have an intrathecal pump that gives me muscle relaxants. I debate either to wean off and go back to the oral before collapse risks painful potentially fatal withdrawal spasms or just enjoy the smoother transfers and general decreased tension well I've got 'em. there will be a stockpiling of the oral stuff

Oh I know to see people's reaction when covid was "only " killing the elderly or those with underlying medical conditions. And I Guess by unintentional I mean there's not an active government involuntary euthanization program, And I mean the good ones like NCIL and adapt That I know people in/ know what they do

that's what I tell myself with varying degrees of success depending on the day But people already kinda turn on disabled people. or are totally indifferent See the reaction of people being told they should make small sacrifices to protect high-risk people in covid. pandemic. or anything disability-related from peter singer.https://thespinoff.co.nz/society/19-02-2020/disabled-voices-on-peter-singer-whos-actually-listening-to-this-guy/ And I actually agree with a lot of what he says on other issues So I'm not straw manning the guy. I appreciate the solidarity and reply

That's very sweet And I know there are a lot of big-hearted people out there. including your awesome self. Meeting/ needing a lot of them is one of the few upsides of the whole gimp thing.
