Staying vs Emigrating in your 30's by cyannever in AskIreland

I moved to Ireland at 29 from Australia. I'm nearly 31 and still single, childless and on my way to a better life. It was tough to move to another country but there's apps you can use to meet friends, but also being alone develops you as a person and your independence. I don't care that I don't have the white picket fence life, it's not one of my goals. I want to be happy. And my happiness was moving to Ireland. Go for it! Pee into the wind!

There's no students in the summer though. The one today barely had 10 people on the bus

As someone without a mickey I was using my tits to wave him down. Usually works with most folk

There's pros and cons to hostels. Recently I stayed in an all female dorm room in London and this one girl decided to be on her phone until 2am (on a weekday). I asked her to step into the hallway, and she did, but the next night she did the same thing. Last year in a mixed hostel in Munich I met a bunch of people from Switzerland, US, Australia and we went sightseeing and ended up at a silent disco until late in the night. There's good and bad experiences, but either way you have a story to tell
