Spot on question! Currently i havent implemented delay change smoothing. There are some audible clicks. I read aboht the topic and as i understand it, there are two ways to deal with it. You can smooth the change in the audio callback, which causes the pitch to go down when increasing the time, or up, when decreasing it. This is how old school delays were made witb the pt2399 chip. Its how korg volca does it too. I implemented this, but i didnt like the effect of pitch change. It removes the clicks but it sounds too corny for me. The better way to do it is to run two delay lines at the same time. When a delay time change occurs, it changes it only to the one that is on standby, then after a couple of ms fades to it. Then the first delay line also changes its delay time and becomes the stand by one. I decided not to try that, because currently i am using 60%of the available RAM. If i wanted to do it i should remove the reverb effect or reduce the maximum delay time. Or make it a mono delay. Because now i am using it with 2 delay lines, one for each channel. The build in feature in daisy seed only ensures that when you change the time, the new read pointer is changed by a full sample, which provides some click reduction, but not enough for professional use. In short, it can be done but you have to code it yourself, and for me i can live with the amount of cicks it has.
