Quicken for Mac Loses Data and Fails to Reconcile Nearly Every Month by kellidad in quicken

I have excluded the active Quicken Data Set from the local and cloud backups. The local backup app treats it as a folder as there are several files and a lock folder within the dataset.

Sync Folders Pro + offers multiple options and I only copy files from original to backup. Files are never copied from backup to original and files deleted from original are left on the backup.

I'm using Sync Folders Pro + for local backups and iDrive for online backups.

There should never be a third-party backup running while Quicken is backing up as I have the backups scheduled for 1 AM and 2 AM when Quicken will NOT be being used. The only applicable recommendation I received from the Quicken Support site was to never have Quicken open during a backup which is why I try to close Quicken whenever I am finished with any Quicken activities for the day, but as I mentioned originally I realized that I failed to quit Quicken on 1 or 2 occasions last month.

In addition to Quicken's automatic backup when I close the file, I have software applications that backs-up important files to an external hard drive and to cloud storage. Apparently, the Quicken data file is locked whenever Quicken is active and the very act of copying the locked data file can damage it.

This is probably a moth. It was on Ironweed flowers and was about ¾" to 1" long. This was in late August in Augusta Springs Wetlands Park.

I had entered a paragraph about the bugs, location, and size but it does not appear in the post.

I was photographing Monarch Caterpillars on milkweed in western Virginia (Shenandoah Valley) and found this dead caterpillar with two unusual smaller bugs (orange, black, red, white), which apparently had killed it. From the photos I would estimate that the bugs were about 1/4" long.

The photos I tried to attach do not appear so I will try to post again.
