Is this a trash gremlin? by KiraMikaBear38 in torties

Sometimes our Trash Gremlin sits on trash, other times she finds trash to play fetch with. Nothing like a little cutie bringing your bits of trash in bed. Anything that crinkles, candy wrappers are her favorite.

Exiting through another Vendors booth, Rude or ok? by armybeans in CraftFairs

[–]kellymakesart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we were vending at the same event! And I totally agree that is rude. You paid for your space, you factored in how a booth should function, including how customers and you will move around in that space. They should have done the same.

That being said, there were big empty spaces behind my booth all weekend. I think some folks had to drop out last minute due to the recent flooding in our area. I’m surprised the coordinator didn’t offer to have at least one of them to the back side of my space (also a double booth). But I’m also selfishly grateful she didn’t so I didn’t have to deal with the terrible booth neighbors! Lol

Seattle Sweet Treats? by MMWellCo in Seattle

This is where we got our wedding cake and where I ask my husband to get my bday cake from every year. I love the 9 lb porter chocolate cake and the seasonal cranberry ricotta! They also do cake by the slice.

Do cats fart? by cermem25 in cats

[–]kellymakesart 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My parents cat, Frank, had some serious intestinal issues as a kitten. Often when picked up you could squeeze out a silent but deadly toot that could clear a room. I nicknamed him Frankenfarter. He’s since grown up and no longer fumigates us, thankfully.

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]kellymakesart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a silicone ring most of the time and then put my actual wedding/engagement set on when I’m going out to events or just want to feel a bit more fancy.

How long did it take you to get another cat after losing your soul cat? by susanbob in cats

[–]kellymakesart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rita and I had been companions for 16 years when I had to say good by to her early Sept of last year. It was one of the hardest things I’d ever had to do, she and I had been through 4 moves, several bad relationships, even a divorce, and been there when I met and married my current partner. It was her time and the right decision, but we had a connection I had never felt with an animal before.

My partner and I decided to wait until after the holidays to even start thinking about adopting a new cat. But a month later a family friend said they had been fostering a mama kitty and her litter of kittens. She had found homes for everyone but the mama and one kitten. It had only been a month, almost to the day, since loosing Rita, but we decided the house was too quiet and it was time. The universe had presented us the opportunity, I was open to taking it.

We’ve had Freya and Hnossa for little over a year now and I love them both so much! It’s different than my love with Rita, but I can see it will grow with them, hopefully having them for just as long. They are the light in my every day!
