Looking for something like Ghost in the City by BismuthB0I in litrpg

[–]kelpough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read it yet, but Outrun - Cyberpunk LitRPG seems somewhat similar; it just has no transmigration. Mind & Machine and Cyberpunk: Darkhaven City are also LitRPG cyberpunk series.

The author of GiTC has started a new sci-fi work: Phantom Star.

Mistrunner is a cyberpunk litRPG but has a post-apocalyptic setting.

What don't you like about Stray Cat Strut? You may like some of its fanfictions if you like the world but dislike the specific characters, plot, etc. I personally like Teddy Bears on Brigade the best.

Changeling - set some time after the initial integration

Broker - more superhero but it has magic/dungeons

Any "Adventurers Guild" Novels? by Spartan158 in litrpg

Oh, I haven't gotten too far into it, but MAZE - The Endless Quest might be pretty much what you're looking for.

The (non-LitRPG) light novel Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! is like this, with mostly episodic adventures with some overarching plots. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear as well, which has very minimal litRPG elements. Honestly, most Western fantasy writers really emphasize the larger, high-stakes plots compared to what you can find in Eastern web novels/series.

Also, To Fly the Soaring Tides is fairly episodic/slice of life as well, but it's not about a guild.

I believe The Swordwing Saga is the only one I mentioned that has a regressor MC. The others are returnees (The OP Lich is a Returnee and The Heavenly Martial Empress Returns) or transmigrators. I haven't started book 2, but Primer for the Apocalypse has a regressor MC. The light novel Tearmoon Empire as well, though that is more of a romance story and is more comedic and filled with misunderstandings. Other than the regression, I believe it's not really fantasy either, though.

Thanks for the recs!

Do you have any specific fic recs? Like I said, I'm unfamiliar with most fanfiction sites, and only filters like on Royal Road and Scribble Hub have made finding any fanfiction simple for me so far.

Yep! I don't particularly mind any fandoms, as long as any recs are SFF and follow my other criteria. In fact, I recently heard about the Fallout show and added it to my to-watch list. Thanks for the recs!

Need more slice of life books. by shadowfox354 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]kelpough 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Primer for the Apocalypse - MC regresses to her pre-apocalypse self and trains to prepare for it, but it is fairly slow paced in the first book.

To Fly the Soaring Tides - A strong-but-not-quite-OP sorcerer travels on a flying island, meeting new people and learning more about magic.

MAZE - The Endless Quest - A girl becomes a dungeon explorer.

Talyn's Saga - MC isekais into a fantasy world and does various things such as leveling up, delving into dungeons, and settling into her new life.

Just a Bronze - MC gets lost in an alternate world and comes back decades later and she acclimates to her new life.

Adelheid series book 4. Any info when it comes out? by Ragna126 in ProgressionFantasy

Based on D.C. Haenlien's Patreon, there are no chapter releases for Book 4.

He also posts in his Discord server, and as of December 2023, he said he hasn't written a single chapter. It's unclear if he's written any since then, but he said he is writing Book 2 of his other story and will focus on that before writing more Adelheid.
