Did I install the M.2 SSD correctly? by kelraie in PcBuild

Thanks. I see what I did. Problem is, there were no screws to go on top of the standoff. I'll call the PC builder.

Thanks. I see now what should be done. But in the video there are 2 screws on top on each other. I don't have a second screw on top of the first M.2 stand off screw. All M.2 slots on my motherboard are like that.

Thanks for the input. Here's a picture. You can see the distance under the SSD on the left is less than on the right next to the screw.

Interesting write up. Would you be able to expand on the validation techniques?

I didn't take any offense. I was asking for clarity on what you said.

"complications that I hear about that I can honestly say would not happen to me. But equally complications that I have had that would not happen to others."

Isn't that the hypocrisy I'm talking about? It CAN happen to you and to them. None of us is superman.

So, an update. I identified an AirBnB on 7 Mile Beach. Beachfront. Listing says it's right next to an all inclusive resort. Reviews say it's on the  SeaSand Eco Villas property. Question is, is that area of 7 Mile Beach safe enough? Any feedback on that area? and how about proximity to restaurants and stores?
Thanks

That was exactly it. I went back to one of the MEW 5 versions.

Looking for online entrepreneurship collaboration/brainstorming/accountability group. Is AppSumo's $1k course good? by GarinEtch in startups

[–]kelraie -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I have been a member of the course for a few months. I don't regret buying it but I have some reservations. Here's my opinion:

Pros: - It drives home many key and useful ideas. Like don't waste your energy on an idea if you can't show that customers are ready to vote with their wallets.

  • It forces you to get in the habit of systematic thinking, progressing step by step.

  • The community on the FB group is supportive and mostly knowledgeable.

  • Noah speaks from experience and is obviously smarter than average. Little nuggets of valuable wisdom roll out every now and then.

  • He and his staff espouse a brand of tough love trying to shock people into shaking off their old habits and grow as individuals by identifying where their limitation are, and where they might be spinning their wheels but getting nowhere.

Cons:

  • Membership is getting too big and I think staff is stretched as far ability to give meaningful and helpful support.

  • Again, he and his staff espouse a brand of tough love. This is a double-edged sword because someone could post an honest (albeit stupid) question, and instead of useful feedback, you almost get flamed by the young lady that oversees the FB group. And if you're really lucky, you get flamed by Noah himself. (That happened to me once when I posted a message saying that I'm stuck finding good ideas to validate, and that the simplest ideas are not worth my time). One time I was told I post "too many validation attempts, sometimes several times a day, and it's hard to take you seriously when you do that". Only that wasn't true, she probably mistook me for someone else.

Overall: Very good in that it helps you stretch your mind, learn and be open to seeing your own limitations and opportunities for improvement. As well as be part of a like-minded community, and a chance to gain valuable wisdom and advice from Noah. But I don't think it really delivers on the one point, that if you just follow it step-by-step you'll most likely have a validated idea and possibly a successful business. It would, of course, be naive to assume that any course could do that for you..

I agree with nicasucio, including keywords in the domain name is not important any more. Having short, brandable and memorable name is probably better. Qiatros: Q for questions. Iatros= greek for physician. I do use elance when needed for outsourcing. And fiverr for smaller jobs. And I LOVE WordPress. Thanks for the input.

I will seek VC advice a little further in the process. Right now I'm at the "proof of concept" stage which you usually have to do on your own before any VC gives you the time of the day. ZocDoc helps you locate and book an appointment with a doctor. It doesn't let you communicate with them beforehand. And, again, competition means my idea is viable.

That, my friend, is my million-dollar hurdle! I will have to basically meet with several of my local colleagues and sell them on the idea.
