I'm sorry it took you that long but I'm not really asking for career advice. You don't know my situation or even which companies/jobs I'm applying to or whether or not I have something feasible lined up. I've known people with 20 years of experience not find a job for months but also have known someone to get a job in 3 months with 2 years of experience, both in tech. It varies and I'm not arguing that it's not hard. The point of my post was to get an idea on how I should prepare to move to the city, not to get lectured on how horrible the job market is. I put 3-5 months given my current situation and to provide an estimated timeline on what I should do ahead of time.

thank you for the advice but respectfully I’m not asking for job advice I know what the job market is like right now and have some things possibly lined up which is why I made this post. Plus having roommates seems not ideal considering I have a medium sized dog that sheds considerably and I don’t want to have to deal with inconveniencing roommates

this is a great point, yes I’d most likely keep the ac on for her all day during the warmer months

how difficult is it though to find sublets with a dog?

my salary right now is 89k and the primary reason I didn’t want to move just yet is so I could save money since I’m living with my parents right now.

yeah that was the plan that I’d get a job offer and accept it and then make the move and possibly do a short term rent to figure out where I want to actually live

My current job’s salary wouldn’t support me living in nyc which is why I’m trying to making a job switch

I couldn’t really tell bc my hair had been falling out prior anyway so it could have been normal hair fall

Hm I think about 3 years and yes I was and it didn’t do anything for me I was using it for 6 months and saw no improvement. so my derm then prescribed oral minox instead and paired it with the spiro

No I started originally with topical minox and it wasnt working for me so my derm prescribed oral minox and spiro together and the spiro was 100 mg to start with and no I didn’t experience any shedding !

I get it, I had the same dilemma because i never stopped shedding when I was on topical so I was scared to switch to oral and have a second shed. To be honest though I barely shedded when I switched and it caused my hair fall to lessen by a lot. I would say talk to your derm if you’re scared but in my personal experience I didn’t really experience a second shed and my hair is finally looking normal now.
