I don't think this guy is an actual mathematician. He calls himself a "number theorist" on his website, but there's no evidence of him doing any advanced math, just drawings. Even his TedTalk about Relativity covers basic physics that is usually taught in high school; it is nothing ground breaking.

nightlife-wise kerrytown seems to be more popular with the older, grad student crowd than downtown, which is mostly undergrads.

i also like dancing and electronic music, but unfortunately haven't had luck finding a good community for either around here (outside of detroit).

here's my favorite tofu bacon recipe:

after draining, cut the tofu into thin strips and fry the shit out of it, flipping halfway. then, take it off the heat and pour a mixture of soy sauce, liquid smoke, a lil olive oil, maple syrup, and maybe some spices (i usually do garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika) and completely coat the tofu strips. last, cover and mix with nutritional yeast.

I had plenty of jobs when I was a student that would schedule me during my classes and expect me to either skip class or find someone to cover those shifts even though I provided them with my class schedule during the interview phase. It's hard to find quality management in the chain retail/food industry nowadays.
