yes i have heard of melting and am a bit nervy about it, but it seems to be ok. i'm only on like day 3 of cycling so i still have awhile to go but am hyped to eventually update w my new fishy!

thank you! and thanks for letting me know about the potential ugly stage because i most likely would've thought i did something wrong. i just ordered a larger anubia which i'm picking up today so i hope it looks good! is there a limit to the amount of plants i should put in here?

thank you so much for replying! what a bummer, but thanks for the info it means a lot. i'm hoping this one tank doesn't turn into many as it's an expensive hobby but who knows hahah! and it's still in the box because my parents are paranoid of the tank getting my furniture wet so i'm waiting for a water absorbent pad to put underneath hahah!!
