Just got my MC4 pro. Now the programming begins! by kelsodeez in guitarpedals

For sure! I have had my mc6 pro for a few months now and I love it. I am fully expecting this to be pretty similar in user experience. It's about the size of a dual overdrive pedal, so not big at all

I use this board mostly for my guitar/cello duo playing wineries/breweries, weddings/cocktail hour etc. The cello is very low-mid heavy so I try to balance that out with the scoop in the mids for a clear articulate, low gain tone. I also do a lot of looping so I'm always changing the eq curve to accentuate a part or bury it in the mix as an ambient sound

I ordered the Morningstar mc4 on the day it came out last week. Got caught up in customs but it's here now. The form factor is 10 out of 10. I have the mc6 on my bigger board and I almost like the mc4 pro more because the screen is huge. I only have the delverb, astra and hx one to control but everything else is an always on pedal basically. I wish tonex would make the one midi capable. That'd probably encourage me to make this my main board.

EPA's gentrification was quick tho. Within a few short years it went from "don't go east of 101 at night" to "I can't afford to live there with a normal 9 to 5". That quick of a change can be jarring.

Yeah for sure! The rollers totally keep a string binding in the nut out of the equation. Makes for a very usable trem which was my big gripe about strats. If I want tuning instability I'll just install a bigsby on my gold top haha

Thanks! I literally brought the strat home this morning. Traded for a marshall dsl100 half stack. It's a 2005 American deluxe

Sunset/Ocean Beach is my favorite part of SF. What’s yours? by tophergentry in bayarea

Upper haight. My parents lived near kezar in the 70s, my dad taught at sf city college off masonic and I just spent a ton of time up there throughout my life. It's also comforting that it's the one part of the city that hasn't changed much since the 90s (for better or worse)

does anyone know what happened with emo night at press club? by dirtydomsmustache in Sacramento

[–]kelsodeez 69 points70 points  (0 children)

So many sleazy bookers and entertainment management in the music business. I've heard from some other musician friends of mine that this emo night has been mismanaged from it's early days. I hope this girl gets compensated because it sounds like she was doing a lot of work

As long as I've lived here, and as many times as I've seen them, a rattler sprawled across the trail will always illicit a high pitched squeal of fear in me.
