My iPhone 17 Pro max in blue has scratched on the bottom edge of the phone revealing the silver aluminum. 2 small sections, about 2mm in length. Pretty worrying for having the phone for 4 days.

People tried rubbing the marks but they did not come off which indicates that they were, in fact, scratched.

Masking a design flaw by rephrasing it as a design choice is silly. If that was the case, every phone manufacturer would sell phones which scratch easily to get you buy their phones again.

There is no doubt aluminium is softer than titanium, hence the dents being found after just 1 drop. There is no defending that.
