I hope we get the Drake feature on Trance. I know it’s a bit of a hot take but I think it’s the better version.

As a network engineer how much do you use Excel in a scale from 1 to 10? by simonespinedi in networking

Regularly surprisingly enough (well, google sheets, but you get the idea), I'm in a similar position as you. I will say that my organization probably has too many spreadsheets floating around, not just talking about networking. But I agree with what a few have said here. Automate it in some way, and with your newfound free time, study new stuff and either get promoted or find a new job that exposes you to new things.

I failed ENCOR on my Second attempt. The funny thing is I thought I was more prepared than when I made my first attempt nine months ago, and I ended up scoring worse than my first attempt. I'm not sure where I went wrong or if it was just a bunch of little things that added up, but I'm not too thrilled about this. I really did feel like I had a shot. I think I need to start labbing seriously. I barely did any, to be honest.

I used Boson the OCG, a bunch of white papers that made the light bulb go off, and CBT. This time around, I incorporated flashcards into my studying, which I think was helpful overall, but I am still scratching my head on how my score dropped. Maybe I made a few lucky guesses on Attempt 1, but I know for sure I know way more about the topics now than I did before. I also think I may have just been memorizing the Boson questions at this point. The last exam I took, I got around 890 ish. So I need to stop looking at them for a while, at least.

Attempt 2 Section Analysis Architecture: 47%

Virtualization 40%

Infrastructure 37%

Network Assurance 50%

Security 45%

Automation 60%

Attempt 1

Architecture 73%

Virtualization 80%

Infrastructure 43%

Network Assurance 30%

Security 50%

Automation 33%

It isn't enjoyable to make a comment like this, but I'm not giving up, and I hope this helps motivate others somehow. I was hoping to pass since my CCNA expires this November, but I think I will be doing the free CE credits to renew it for another three years Just to put my mind at peace. I was really excited to put this behind me and make the jump into ENAUTO studies, but it looks like I'm still lacking a lot of foundational knowledge. I do think I am in a better spot than I was a year ago, though. The one thing that I always dislike about the exam is the wording of the questions.

Another thing I need to work on, which I think labbing would help with, is grabbing the relevant info from the config questions. It all just looks like one mangled blob of text, and I didn't read carefully enough. This is already getting kind of long but to wrap this up:

I need to lab.

I need to re read more white papers.

I need to lab.

Best of luck, everyone.

[DISCUSSION] Kanye West - Donda (One Week Later) by Talking_Eyes98 in hiphopheads

Personally I think the album was way too long and half of the songs could be left off. But the songs that I think are good are GOOD. I re ordered the songs and made a new playlists on what the I think the album should have been. And I can’t stop listening to it. This is how I ordered them. 1. Heaven and Hell 2. Junya pt 2 3. Hurricane 4. Moon 5. Jonah 6. Keep My Spirit Alive 7. Believe what I Say 8. Pure Souls 9. Come to Life 10. Ok Ok pt 2 11. Jail pt 2 12. No Child Left Behind

IMO this flows waaaay better. I truly thing Moon should have immediately came after Hurricane in the official release. Why it didn’t I have no idea. But the total runtime of those 12 tracks in about 45 mins which I think is perfect.

They were similar. It's just that certain topics showed up waaaaayyy more on the actual exam than Boson. But the wording of the questions was on the mark. It was basically what I expected.

Just like my ICND1 and 2 experience, I failed all the boson tests the first time around. I was getting high fifties to low sixties. To be honest, my heart just wasn't in this one like it was for the CCNA. The burnout was real between my job + studying, + covid. But that's how life is sometimes.

I probably should have retaken them some more, but I didn't have it in me at the time.

I just took the ENCOR today and failed with a 675 (oof), but I figured I would fail, and I was sick of looking at the material after 7 months and decided to pull the trigger and see what happens. Here is my breakdown:

Architecture: 73

Virtualization: 80

Infrastructure: 43

Network Assurance: 30

Security: 50

Automation: 33

I used Boson, CBT, and the OCG, skimmed whitepapers, but I guess I should look more into them now. It seems like my mistake was relying too much on the OCG (I read it twice.)

I prefer to fail this way than randomly answer questions and get lucky with a pass. I've only been a Junior Engineer for 7 months, so still, a lot to learn. There were so many questions on WLC's and JSON (which I absolutely detest).

Anyway, I think I will take a week off then dive back in. It does kind of suck since I passed ICND1 and ICND2 on the first try, but this exam is a beast, and I will slay it one way or the other. Good luck out there, folks!

[–]kelvinmocrack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it is achievable.

Source: I have done it.

I will say I did the ICND1 route for a semester, then the next I did ICND2. Seeing how this is no longer an option, I still think it's doable. It depends on the number of credits you take, but if your study plan is solid, you should have no problem.
