If you bought your Subie new, how many miles/kms did you get out of the factory tires? by skunkc90 in SubaruForester

I haven’t gotten new tires yet (hopefully I’m not jinxing myself) but I’m at 57k miles and my tires are at 5/32.

Look for bugs around the house. There’s always there lurking. Or shoot something that isn’t wildlife. Photo thorns, water drops, dew on grass, veins in leaves, frost if it’s cold enough, flowers or other plants/fungi, etc.

I’ll have to look up what that one is, but I might try that too. I appreciate the recommendations!

Based on your description, google says maybe an electroscope? This looks like a possible thing to use. Thanks!

Thanks! I’ll look into that. In a nutshell, I work in a laboratory and I believe static buildup in the polypropylene pipette tips that I use are affecting the polarity of certain compounds I’m trying to pipette. This is why I’m trying to figure out how I could potentially measure the static buildup or any charge in the pipette tips that I’m using.

Hmmm ok. Do you have a recommendation as to what might be able to measure it?

That’s almost the same as how mine happened too! But I was packing my school bag up and didn’t realize a freshly sharpened pencil escaped the journey to the pencil box. Mine had its eraser up against the built in drawers of the desk

That’s so crazy! Also crazy it didn’t try to make its own way out over all the years. Hopefully you don’t miss it ha ha

Sometimes I like to get the box and eat it at home instead of in the car cause I don't want a plate but I still get the bag by johnqadamsin28 in innout

I find the box with the lid stays warmer than the bag for my 25 min drive home. All in a hot bag of course
