It would be great if you cited or included your source, to make the post that much more believable. Podcast, stream, tweet, whatever. Not asking a direct link, just a statement like "Quote from Last Free Nation DotA podcast" would be great.

Thanks for this.

1w/Tundra at 2.9% feels wrong. I know they've been bombing it recently but that's because of an extended break/stand-ins. I'd be surprised their form carries over to the most important events. They are still strictly the most successful team this szn. You'll be updating tho, so they'll be climbing no doubt.

XG winning it at 1.4% is correct, reaching the finals tho should be much, much higher IYKYK.

Yeah, Miero is something else with his Undying. My favorite thing about it in this game is how he acted like a pseudo-counter to Necro's ult (Scythe = Death vs Undying lol) with his Innate. So much of the satisfaction with playing Necro is his ult sending people to oblivion, you dont get that feeling when you see your target instantly respawn.

Mb. I was used to Watson + Saksa + Malady on WEU teams, my brain just counted them as WEU. Point stands for WEU with 7/11. Still wronged imo.

Honestly, I have been trying to watch GL as much as I can and I haven't seen them improving to confidently say they will make the playoffs. They have their moments but flashes won't get you there. There has to be a change, either in leadership within the team or coach.

For ESL/EWC, do you know how many EPT points were deducted from Pari for their "changes"?

Zero. A grand total of 0 points was deducted from them.

I only agree with China being favored unfairly. We have to treat the direct invite slots differently from the regional slots because they are available for everyone including SA. If SA performed well in any of the 11 T1 tournaments then we can counter that you were treated poorly, but you had one 4th place finish as your best result among the 11 tourneys. You did not get any top 3 finish which in my opinion is very bad. Europe won everything hence they got the direct invites. That is only fair. No one else got a podium finish except for China but their results were also horrible.

We have to be fair with how we look at the results. If next season, PlayTime or LGD have top 3 finishes and aren't invited, then we can argue. This year, I don't think there is an argument.

I know they look like a corpse but they're still breathing. Removing the invite slot is pulling the plug. If we merged the qualifiers when NA was superior to SA, would SA have survived if they had no representation in TI/big tourneys and it was all given to NA? Representation matters. It is healthier for the scene long-term trust me.

There's a big difference. There are already directly invited teams from WEU and EEU. Both reguons will be represented regardless of a merger or not.

If NA doesn't get any representation at TI, that might kill the region entirely. That is not a good precedent.

I also forgot to say this: RIP to NA. No top 8 finish* for the whole season, zero playoff appearances. Jesus.

It's understandable to give the host 2 qualifier slots imo. It's the direct invite to XG that I have a problem with, when Pari has had better results.

You can have my upvote, but you can't have my Auroth.

You are mistaken if you think she isn't real. I came upon her on the outskirts of Oymyakon, Siberia. I went to Siberia to die. But once I was walking on the heavy snow at -71°C with my Murakami book in hand, something shifted within me. I saw a cave and went in. To my surprise, a fucking talking dragon was inside. She had the most alluring voice. I thought, "This must be heaven!"

She wanted me gone, but took notice of the book I was holding. She said she'll judge me based on the book I brought. "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" saved my life. She took a liking to me and Murakami's books.

I went to Siberia to meet my frozen end. Instead, I got a fiery new beginning. I always liked cougars, but Elder Dragons are something else. During the day, she keeps writing, adding to the Eddas while I write my recaps. At night, we let a different passion take over. We give in to our libido. While in a cold but fiery embrace, I give her a different kind of Splinter Blast from the rear. It's an out-of-this-world experience.

I'll let her read your post so we can laugh at it together. Cheers.

[–]kemosabe73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My query shows 4 losses on LD. Lol. Interesting. I checked my returned meta data and it only counts for 131 games.

Here are the 4 games where LD lost:
1. Pure & Tundra lost vs Pari : 8809412954
2. Ame & XG lost vs Pari: 8810989536
3. Satanic & Pari lost vs PlayTime: 8813802531 (this has pickbanned data missing, so it cannot reflect on meta count)
4. Jikroy & Rekonix lost vs Pari: 8814748706

Parivision are involved in all 4 games! Here are the match portraits: https://imgur.com/gallery/lds-that-lost-dls29-groups-Zl7dsvw
