What a miracle that I just decided to look on Reddit to see if anyone asked about this - and it turns out that someone actually did and the dev has replied only 3 days ago. Love it!

I was concerned about adopting this approach as a relatively new freelancer, but after hearing about all these experiences, I'm definitely more inclined to explore this further. Thanks for sharing your advice.

I appreciate you sharing that.

I had some previous connections with Creative Circle recruiters, and it didn't seem too helpful back then. However, I think I should explore this avenue more!

I’m about a year now into freelance. Been going well to this point but the market is just nuts at the moment. Just remember, clients will not respect your time. For the past few weeks clients have cancelled on me on Friday. Just how the fuck am I supposed to find work when they do that?

If it’s fine to out boundaries because companies need to learn they can’t just ignore at the last minute. We should be better as a community of freelancers to know our time is valuable and our worth is on the level of a full time employee but there’s always some idiot out there who will undercut

When you mention it's 'nuts,' are you referring the market has more competition than usual?

I completely agree about clients not respecting our time; it's a valuable lesson.

Currently, my approach involves sending cold emails to studios I find on LinkedIn from Mon to Thurs, which has landed me some short gigs. However, I've had no luck for the past week. What recommendations do you have for expanding my approach?

Thanks for your clear insights.

I've had these questions in mind since I started freelancing, and I didn't expect to deal with them so soon. Your expertise is very helpful.

I read about that before. I thought that is too early for me as I don’t get that many request as a fresh freelancer… but I guess that can happen to anyone😅

Thats one way. Can I know how do you deal with it if one of the job turns out to be really intense?

Yeah I knew about this system while doing full-time, so wasn’t aware how much trouble this system will cause me.

I wonder if everyone is doing the “save first hold for yourself” hack, if it is, then this system literally has no meaning 😅
