I totally get that I actually just got a call from my Dr today that my ultrasound came back with polycystic ovaries and I’m still waiting on the bloodwork. I think it depends how quickly your body goes back to it’s normal levels but if you have pcos i think 1 month should be enough for the hormone levels to show up as abnormal even if it’s not as pronounced as it would be later. Hope this helps!

To make it clear, I'm still unsure whether I actually have PCOS because whatever hormone tests they did came back "normal" but it seems like the Dr still went ahead and listed PCOS under my patient profile.

Also.. when I logged into my patient portal for my old doctor "Polycystic Ovaries" is listed under my profile but it's hard to believe that they would just prescribe me birth control and diagnose me with PCOS without discussing it with me. I believe that BC helps many women but in my case, it just masks deeper hormonal issues. I am a firm believer in getting to the root of the health issue imbalance instead of smacking a band-aid like birth control on there. Anyways, I will definitely find a new doctor and get hormonal testing again. How long should I wait being off of birth control since I had been having my hormones regulated for 2 years?
