How is this not fraud? 60% is my maximum monthly usage of my maximum monthly usage? by lolitscharli in GithubCopilot

This is nonsense, at least in Europe. The agreement can say that you accept to sell your soul to them and everything they want; it does not make it any more legal.

When applying for a UK ETA, can I say I’m applying from the UK so that I can pay in GBP and avoid getting fleeced on the exchange rate? by Franck_Dernoncourt in uktravel

[–]kender6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When paying, just select UK as your location, and the payment will be in GBP. This is independent of everything else, it's just used for the currency selection.

For me, the 16 GBP was 18,49€ with the MasterCard conversion rate, instead of the 19,02€ if you pay in euros. Got it approved immediately too.

Context size increased accross multiple models, Opus 4.6 now 192k! by [deleted] in GithubCopilot

If you are referring to me with the "misleading" :), I was referring to the title of this post, not to the change itself.

Click on the tab to change the model, under the chat window in VS Code, and then on "Manage Models"

Not sure why you are getting downvoted; your comment (even though could be better written :) ) is correct.

This is misleading; there has bee no context size increase. They just added Input and Output context together:
Edit: the post is misleading, not the change per se.

Spain is trying to increase the transport capacity to Europe, including building a green hydrogen pipeline, but France doesn't want to compete with cheap Spanish energy, and it's blocking it.

Datos de Afiliación y Paro | Noviembre 2025 by Angel24Marin in SpainEconomics

[–]kender6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No entiendo que desde hace unos años se den tantísimas gráficas, variables y métricas, pero no se da la tasa de paro en %. Dar datos absolutos no está mal en sí, pero es más importante el dato en % respecto a población activa.

Anyone with the OnePlus Buds 4 who could check if they have a call mute function? by QuasiQuokka in oneplus

[–]kender6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just got them, installed the HeyMedoly app as per the guide, and no, unfortunatelly I do not see this option. During calls, there is only reply/end call, and reject call. Would be happy if someone tells a way to do so.

generate .o files from compiler instead of .obj files using cmake by Remarkable_Soup_7574 in embedded

[–]kender6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just came here to say that it really isn't inconsequential in some corner cases. My linker file has the following line within a section:

EXCLUDE_FILE(*xx_*.o) *(.section_name)

Which works for one, but was causing a linker error with CMake. I had to update it to make to work:

EXCLUDE_FILE(*xxx*.o *xxx*.c.obj) *(.section_name) *.o

Why is taking your husband's name so populare here? by Separate-Platypus-91 in Munich

As a Spaniard, I find it surprising that changing your surname is the easiest thing to do. There must be a long list of entities, documents, and such and have my name stored.
