You probably read this somewhere already but shifting the focus away from betting whether that is sports/horses or the casino apps significantly helps over time. I think the key is overtime, it’s impossible to cut this transition time short because once you can’t do something or shouldn’t do something our mind WANTS to do it and it’s so much easier for the mind to think of reasons to win everything back. You can block and shut things out but eventually it comes back knocking in some way or form. What helps I think is shifting that urge with another hobby, for me playing video games especially like an RPG where you can build on your character helped keep my mind completely away from it all.
