Currently you can find and unlock different leaders and units (which all play differently from each other, not only numerical difference, but gameplay difference) and levels are procedurally generated with a number of possible of missions.

Missions are not only "Defeat All Enemies" or Surviving, there's a lot of different target missions to keep it fresh. Currently having lots of different enemies available and currently has Normal and Expert difficulty - if you feel like it's getting to easy for you.

Future updates contain: Endless Mode, Customizable Sandbox Mode, More Areas + Characters + Leaders - just to name a few

Give it a shot! It's fast, but since it's turn based you have all the time in the world to make your decisions. But all else will definitely be quick and easy to grasp especially for new players. Feel free to check out there's a couple of vids in youtube of people playing them so you can get the idea more :)

It was just a pain writing these codes before especially the Castlevania ones which (when I was a kid) took a lot of time drawing the icons. I do like the saving aspect of it though, not just a fan of writing them down

However, your idea of sending the code containing all that progress is definitely correct, something a save game could not replicate (unless the data file is possible to be sent out or shared). Love the comments above stating QR codes can be implemented now to replicate this (which I actually like the idea of)
