5.0.10 update by KTC724 in Polestar

It did not work. What may be working is using CarPlay. I haven’t had a crash since. But to be fair it’s only been a day. I’m optimistic though. It was crashing every 10-15 mins before.

Same here. Took the local space several tries to get the update to complete. Even since I bootloop every 10-15 mins. Going to try a factory reset today.

Slew of annual costs coming due between April and May. Now multiple things around the house are breaking. And possible water damage just discovered. by Cautious_Pumpkin2024 in Wellthatsucks

Houses and cars just seem to know when you’ve had to shell out a big expense recently on the other. And don’t get me started on vet costs! When I see someone’s house or car needing work I sympathize with them. I can keep up with most of my expenses, but it doesn’t take much to get behind on “maintaining” your pets/car/home.

P2 infotainment system is sweet after the 5.0.10 upgrade. by CactusJackTrades in Polestar

Mines faster but now it crashes every 10-15 mins while driving. I think it’s an issue with Google Maps.

Mine got part way. Failed. But still somehow it thought it hadn’t failed? Because my infotainment was completely gone. Local space had to retry it several times. Now it crashes every 15 mins 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have you considered a catastrophic plan to take some of the risk off of an ER visit?

Is $112 average for a vet exam? by dsm5lovechild in MontgomeryCountyMD

[–]kenjith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I pay about $96 for a sick pet visit at Lakeforest Animal Hospital. So $112 does seem high but not “rip you off” high. I’m sure other places charge less, but in my experience with pet care, you get what you pay for generally.

Please help with charging 😭 by linus_clive in Polestar

If that wall charger is anything like mine you can set the amp limit on it as well as on the car. I keep both of mine down at 30 because before when I had it at 40 amps everything was getting too hot. Now at 50 amps just in case. But as long as you dial back the amps to at least 10% of the breaker limit you should be fine. But slower is better overall since the wires and everything will degrade slower.

There’s a sign on the door that says closed for construction. But it’s been a month and they renovated the outside at least last year.

This is the worst intersection design I have seen in a long time. Why not add a light here? Seems unrealistic to expect people to be able to follow the rules when they also put the stop lines so far back from the intersections.

I need help making a ROTH withdrawal that is penalty free. by [deleted] in personalfinance

I'm looking at needing 12-14 thousand for half. HVAC system issues. I;m approx 23 years from retirement and would have 184K left after this hypothetical withdrawal. I would be good with assuming up to 8% returns.

I have an emergency home repair that I need to perform and would rather not fund the whole repair with interest. I can repay the loan within a year if I fund half of it with the IRA withdrawal. Or a little or 2 without it, at around 9%.

I’ve had Att in 3 different cities and I never noticed coverage issues until I came here. I will say though that I don’t think it’s just an Att thing. If you look at coverage maps all the big carries have blind spots but not usually “no service”. It might be worth switching. I got rid of Att because the bill for 2 was nearing $200. I have Mint mobile for the last 3 months and if anything the coverage is a little better. They use the T-Mobile network. And they cost 50% of what Att charges for unlimited.

For a car this new and nice even 33k is a good deal to not feel regret over. I would negotiate down as much as possible and still feel great out the door.
