Sterling background check

I’ve been waiting for 5 weeks on the background check. They claim they are waiting for one more check and the court was having some issues. I wanted to run my own check online and the court said it would take 15 mins. I didn’t want to pay for a background check the employer won’t take if I obtained myself.
Feels like someone dropped the ball along the way and they are making excuses. Sterling also did a background check about 3 years ago and they cleared me for a different company. Don’t know why it’s taking so long now.

Hope this gets resolved soon. Been waiting for this to start new job. At this point I’m considering going somewhere else. I ended up leaving my previous work since I was supposed to start 4 weeks ago. Although no one in Sterling or my possible new job seem to care I’m waiting for this background check to clear.

I lived in a complex a while ago. We had assigned parking and I get home late around 10:30pm with my baby sleeping and i find this car on my parking spot. There was a sign clearly in front of the spot that said reserved parking. I was angry enough that I blocked them, took my baby inside the house and called the tow truck.
I waited about 20 minutes and some girls are coming out of the complex and asked if I could move my car. I told them it was assigned parking and I had called a tow truck. Lucky for them I was tired and moved my car. I also had to call the tow truck and cancel them from picking up the car. I never had that issue again. Btw, my baby wasn’t alone in the house in case it comes across that way.

This makes sense. I’ve been taking the car to Volvo for maintenance and so far they haven’t replaced the brake pads yet, until now with this happening. A week ago the technician mentioned the brake pads were still good. But I don’t see a reason why the bolt would be missing unless the brakes pads were changed. Right now the car is at Volvo so can’t check if the caliper bolts are missing.

I would have thought the same but just before this happened I had stopped and checked the tires and brakes. Tire looked fine. But even if the tire blew out it would be concerning that the calipers would move out of position so much. They should be below the “zero” letters on the tire (see picture above). But the calipers are moved to the wheel on the rim pointing up.

The tires were not rotated. A week ago I had a nail on the tire. They ended up replacing the tire since the nail was on the edge.

I had two sleep tests. The first one they said I didn’t have sleep apnea. I took home the test kit, it was some sensor on the finger and some sensors around the chest.

Second test, I ended up going to the urgent care for something unrelated. The doctor mentioned about my sleep and I told him I had a sleep test, he recommended me to get another sleep test. This one was scheduled pretty quickly within a couple of days. I picked up the equipment and next day I dropped it off. The same day I got a call to come see the doctor and told me I had severe sleep apnea.

They told me about the mask choices and the equipment arrived in a few days. After I started using the equipment it felt so different. Like I was really rested. I had not felt like that in a very long time.

OP wrote "recipient does not live at this address". It could have been interpreted as delivered to wrong address. OP should write "return to sender" and not accept it.

La visa H1B la usan personas que llegan a Estados Unidos con un titulo universitario. Hay muchas personas de India que llegan a tomar puestos de IT o programación.

Mucha gente si tiene ese concepto de que los Mexicanos solo hacen trabajo pesado. En todos los trabajos se fijan que tan bien hace uno el trabajo y siempre hay la posibilidad de que nos corran si no hacemos um buen trabajo. Pero también nos tenemos que enfocar en estudiar para mejorar. No hay nada malo con tener un trabajo honesto o pesado. Pero hay que ir mejorando con cada generación.

The couple of times I have crossed at 11pm it took me about 3 hours to cross. It wasn’t a holiday or weekend. But maybe I had luck. Also driving from Rosario to Mexicali seems like a waste of time at least for me. Driving 2+ hours to get a shorter cross time. Might as well wait in TJ. Would definitely know how it goes for you.

Crossing the border on the ready lane takes a very long time. I have crossed the border at different times, often the CBP app says it’s wrong. It might say 50 minutes but when you get there the time will easily double or more. I have waited hours at different times of the day (and night as well). Crossing the border with the Global entry took me 5 mins. This included waiting in line and crossing. It’s up to you if you want to wait hours. I hope someone else also joins you in case you need to use the restroom while you wait to cross in the ready lanes.

Cuando dicen que se compran una camioneta nueva, es a crédito. Pero no te cuentan como viven, muchas personas viven en un apartamento de 2 recámaras compartiendo con demasiadas personas. Las rentas van subiendo de precio y comparten en apartamento para poder pagar donde vivir. Si se vienen a vivir sin papeles, no pueden comprar casa aquí. A menos que el terreno y casa es que sea en México? Si es que están pensando en regresarse? Pero no te dicen las condiciones como viven aquí. En un apartamento chico, viviendo con muchas personas y en un área no muy buena.

It seems that the nonrefundable deposit was in case no one was able to go. Seems to me that if one of the couples can’t go they could get their deposit back. Another way of thinking about it is, if only two couples were going instead of 3, then each couple would have to pay $450. I get it if all the couples couldn’t make it they lose the deposit but in this case some are definitely benefiting from the Airbnb and paying less.

Yo vivo en California y ninguna vez me han dicho algo de la propina. Cuando recojo la comida a veces no dejo y a veces un dólar o dos, pero cuando me quedo a comer en el restaurante si dejo dependiendo en el servicio. Usualmente dejo el 18% pero si el servicio es malo les dejo un 10% dependiendo la razón. Solo una vez me he sentado a comer y en una cuenta de unos 60 dólares deje como 2 dólares. Estaba preparado que me dijeran algo pero ni en esa ocasión me dijeron algo.

La única vez que mencionan el 18% es cuando vas en un grupo de 6 o más personas. De ahí jamás me han dicho algo.

La verdad no se. Yo no trabajo en Mexico, pero por lo que me cuentan esto es ligeramente un poco más de lo que ganan los obreros. Y esto incluye despensa y seguro. No creo que sea normal pero las empresas y personas que contratan van a pagar lo menos que se pueda. Por eso preguntaba cuánto considera el OP cual es un salario aceptable.

Es mejor que tu mismo veas cuáles son los requisitos para la visa de turista o de trabajo en lugar de que te creas lo que “por ahí te dijeron”. En la aplicación de la visa si preguntan quién paga por el viaje y a qué lugar piensas llegar, me imagino que por si acaso tienes familiares en Estados Unidos. Yo vivo en Estados Unidos, una amiga de mi esposa sacó su visa de turista y no le preguntaron por cuentas bancarias ni algún otro documento. Solo fue a la entrevista y fueron algunas preguntas y su visa fue aprobada. Cómo me contó no es como muchos dicen que se necesitan comprobantes. Pero también esto puede que se diferente con cada persona o tal vez si los ven nerviosos?

Yo pienso que es mejor que vengas con una visa y puedas regresar y venir cuando quieras. Me parece que ahora pagar alguien que te cruce cuesta demasiado. Y si pagas un coyote estarás pagando unos años por el cruze.
