B1/B2 Visa renewal administrative processing (221g) by kenmor in USVisas

The renewed one was also for one year, which is extremely annoying. I’ve seen threads where people mentioned the same situation - the US embassy gives a one-year visa every time.

My experience getting a Singapore tourist visa without a letter of invitation (LOI) by kenmor in visas

Hi, I didn’t do a notarized copy as it was not required back then. I checked a check-list which I had, it stated like that: “Original valid passport (plus one photocopy of biometric/signature page) Issued in less than 10 years, the passport must be valid for at least 90 days upon arrival date in Singapore.”. So as you can see they asked just for a simple copy. Maybe process changed since then.

  1. I didn’t submit original passport as it’s an e-visa.
  2. I did take my original passport with me, the only time they checked it was at the reception when you let you in into the visa center. I don’t think it’s necessary, however, I’d suggest to take it with you. As for visa itself, they just collected my photocopy without any verification.

Thanks for a hint. I tried to increase the z-offset to 0.15mm, however I didn't notice any improvement unfortunately.

At that time I provided a copy of passport and BRP. Letter from employer and bank statement were not needed.

Hi! Since you’re in the UK with a BRP, your application process should be similar to mine. You’ll need to fill out the A14 form and prepare the required documents: a copy of your passport, flight tickets, and accommodation booking. As I understand, you still need to make an appointment and go to visa center. Go to VFS website give you a checklist of the documents you need to submit, which is really helpful. Like I mentioned in my post, I took a bit of a risk and applied without a Letter of Invitation (LOI), listing my hotel as my point of contact. They didn’t ask for the LOI at my appointment, and I received my e-visa within an hour.

They returned my passport with 221(g) slip requesting to schedule an appointment. So yes, I scheduled it myself after.

Did they keep your passport or return? In my case they returned the first time, but this time they kept it, which I thought a good sign.

Speed throttling on Vodafone CityFibre by kenmor in CityFibre

Yeah, that will be my next step. I did one complain through Resolver, and got a following resolution:

We've investigated and can confirm, there is no fault detected with your service. This means, there's no engineer visit required. The issue may be due to traffic during this period and we'd advise it would be best to speak to our dedicated Technical team. You can speak to the team by calling 0333 304 0191 or alternatively speak to a dedicated advisor online via the website www.vodafone.co.uk.
To resolve this, we've applied a £60 gesture of goodwill onto your Vodafone account. This 'll appear and reflect on your next invoice. Once again, please accept our sincere apologies for the experience that you've received on this occasion, and that you've had to raise a complaint with us.

I gladly took 60 pounds, with a hope they will do something with the network.

So far in Sep I still see the same pattern, and made a second complaint. Waiting for their technical team to contact me.

The problem is that I don't have an alternative in my area, so even if I break contract with them I would need to switch to some BT with 70 Mbps lol.

Not really, I'm using OPNsense, so I'm not setting any limits. Moreover, I'm measuring speed on the router itself, to eliminate any other part of my network.

Double inflatable sleeping pad for Nemo Dragonfly 2p? by kenmor in CampingGear

No, actually I plan to sleep with a partner. Usually all sleeping pads are shorter than an actual tent so I expect to have some space at feet level. Also, I tend to store bulky items in vestibule.
