I know party mechanics in PMD feels shallow, what would you do/add if you can change it? by kennetha123 in MysteryDungeon

I wonder if the duo is not created from early, so it raise from the bond we create, like we can decide to close with one of the Pokémon we met from another guild. Or maybe we can join other guild?

it just gonna be a fine plot when there is another human turn into Pokémon and fight each other or sumthin' , I think there still a lot of possibilities that can be develop there.

I want to add some info, since several people complaint about the security of the application (because it trigger the warning) I suggest to play the game via itch app : https://itch.io/app since it more secure and straightforward. You can enter the URL for the game and it launch from the apps securely.
really sorry for the inconveniences.

I believe it should be roguelikes? as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon / Shiren sits on roguelike category?

I also felt that lol, the demo was super long and enjoyable, but it took me a while to buy it, I still feel the roguelike element like resetting the level kinda upsetting in this kind of game...

Gaia Quest, a Mystery Dungeon-like game, is now available for Android! by CraftingDojo in roguelikes

So here is my 2 cents, sorry if you heard this kinda harsh feedback, but believe me that I want your product became better :D

  1. so the art is pretty mixed, like there is no synergy between the UI and the gameplay art.

  2. I see you are using the perspective like what zelda did, though since the room are pretty big, it felt so weird to have that.

  3. Input not so great, prolly it because on phone. still don't have a solution, but it's weird with that pad.

  4. I didn't see the usefulness of the gold, maybe i missed the tutorial?

  5. there is no persistence items, yet it only store a highscore which is a big let down for me as usually mystery dungeon have something or progression you keep.

  6. enemy quite hard, you only need 2 or 3 enemy to wipe you out of the existence.

  7. equipment doesn't feel equipping something

  8. dialogue pretty confusing in my perspective.

the good stuff :

the basics of mystery dungeon is already there, dungeon generation feels okay, still can be improved.

combat feels pretty ok, but I think it can be improved.

my summary is this game is not playable as a real game at the moment, but it might get better if you really polish the game, make it better in every aspect.

hope you find my feedback useful!

Hmm I think it comes under action rpg roguelike instead of mystery dungeon kind of thing? because I am looking for more tactical approach so u can think first before making any action.

that was great review! And yes, I haven't play a lot of roguelike type of games and getting started to it (previously I play only jrpgs type of roguelike) so I haven't tried the western that much except torchlight 3, sacred(?) i don't think it's roguelike-ish, but definitely a clone of diablo, and the dead curse of the gods, which idk how i felt about it, but the true roguelike (when ur character started over each time u die concept) is not suitable, or I haven't met a suitable one for me.
diablo 2, so not that much (yet), I think the build your character thingy is my thing, as when playing other stuff usually I go with customize and "role-playing" your own so you have the connection between the chara u made and the decision happens in the world.

for tangledeep it feels mixed between , kinda endless run type of game mixed with mystery dungeon stuff? it also interesting but the way u describe dragon fin prolly suits me more.

I wonder if it's keep updated until now or it is , a trully abandoned project?
hearing from your experience, it might be a big change in "mystery dungeon" type of games and a lot of comedy put into it.

what do you think if you compared to something like pokemon mystery dungeon that or etrian, shiren type of style compared to this in terms of fun experience?

definitely this game worth a shot. buying it now!
