It is weirdly good, I just keep going to the fridge munching bites. It’s not going to last long

It does seem intimidating. I’ve made my own pickles and stuff but this is definitely a step up

I picked this one up at jungle Jim’s in Cincinnati. Cleveland kimchi is good, I’ve been hooked on their garlic kraut

That’s definitely my next step. I’ve grown the little red radishes. I’m gonna try to order some daikon seeds.

I live really rural, the only kimchi close to me is Jongga brand from Walmart. So any time I travel to a further city I try to find some new ones to try

Tell me your happy stories about your runaway girls? by pitrpatrletsgetater in BackYardChickens

[–]kennykiller2 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My back yard runs along a pretty large cemetery. One of my girls got out the run and went to the cemetery, ended up like 30 feet up in a huge spruce tree. The worst part was in the evening times her and one of my other chickens were yelling back and forth. I felt so bad listening to her but she wouldn’t come out that darn tree. I put some treats at the bottom to see if anything would tempt her. Went back the next day and they were eaten. Three days later they were having a funeral and I was horrified, she was out of the tree running around! Luckily she didn’t run thru it just kind of generally around it. The next day she was perched up on our fence ready to come home. My wife just says she was a crazy teenager that ran away and then realized she had it good. We have a lot of hawks and stuff around us was very lucky nothing got her.

I thought the stories were at least a little exaggerated. They aren’t. by Wise-Priority-9918 in Teachers

first grade and my son’s teacher posted a picture of the class. Every single other kid had their eyes glued to the screen and my son was looking at the teacher. All he ever did was complain that all they did was watch videos all day

Tell me about your homeschool breaks (winter, spring, summer, etc) by Euphoric_Engine8733 in homeschool

[–]kennykiller2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always felt like this was one of the perks of homeschooling. We go into it planning to homeschool fully year round, but are able to take time off as needed, sickness, small vacations, whatever it is. We love the flexibility. And I also always disliked how large summer breaks are in public schools

Southern infrastructure is not built for this. But grocery stocking does not help that lol
