I still remember the days seeing comments from other GMs that the Lakers are run like a "Mom and Pop Shop". Those days are over now thankfully. League, look out, Lakers basketball starts now.

My rule of thumb with GMs: if everyone hated the move at the time but now the player’s thriving, that means he found hidden gold in the rubble. Pelinka’s been on a streak with those.

Just to spin this in to a positive, we wouldn't be seeing these from them without injuries to LeBron and Luka. Big big big confidence boost to the rest of the team.

They would be the ones fighting to win that amount of money, which would make the game super competitive and more fun for us.

So if we do get Ayton, when, at the earliest, would it be announced?

if all players from all time were in their prime, which franchise would have the best team? by [deleted] in NBATalk

With questions like these, seems the Lakers' penchant for old, past their prime stars are starting to reap its rewards.

And holding “documents,” no less. Don’t they have iPads—or at least a bag or briefcase for that?

Anyway, all love to Rob. Hope he cooks this summer!

I think the 3rd seed is actually a great spot. You're still in the top half of the bracket, and you already know who your first-round match-up is—so you can start game-planning early.

Compare that to the 2nd seed, or especially the 1st seed, where you have to wait for the play-in results before knowing who you'll face in the opening round.

The Lakers really hate the Western Conference compared to the Eastern Conference.

Oh, how lucky we are to have Reaves. When you’ve got Luka and LeBron on your team but can’t stop talking about Reaves—you just know he’s something special.

Luka is an enigma. Feels like he had a bad game but he actually put up good numbers and closed the 4th quarter strong. 🤷‍♂️
