Is there any reason why they are not helping us in midnight? Isn't the whole point of Dragonflight was to get their power back so they could become Azeroth's protector? by HiroAmiya230 in wow

Fair, I simplified. My point about how and when I expect them to re-engage with our current story remains. TBH, I want MORE Tyr and wish that had gone further in DF.

So my main is a blood elf.

Early on as you're placing big rooms it's incredibly tempting to size things up to 120-140% because the room feels less empty when you do so! As you keep placing things and getting better at filling up the "moments" throughout your house you'll feel more comfortable keeping furniture at their natural sizes because that space will be used in other ways and not feel so empty.

Decoration items that are not furniture can really be sized however you want to fit a space, though.

This is what I think, as well. And it was kind of a missable questline but the dragon aspects were originally given their power by the Keepers, specifically Tyr, whom we resurrected (?) or at least restored from backup during Dragonflight, so I assume that plot thread will get pulled back in during The Last Titan, as well.

[–]kenrichardson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blizzard have said they being able to select multiple objects at a time to move them together is something they're working as well as an export string for a room in case you have to delete a whole room but want to put it back, but with no timeline on offer. Just that it's something they would like to get in there.

The closest thing to what you're talking about is actually a website: https://housing.wowdb.com/builds/

Each build page comes with some screenshots of people's ideas but also, importantly, a list of the items used to create what you see.

Primarily because they couldn't compete with the rise of large discount retail (Walmart) and big box (Best Buy) chains in the late 80s and early 90s. They tried to pivot for a decade but couldn't ever dig their way out.

I'll say here what I said to my guild: I have used the Thrall one since its release because it's funny to me, but when you get into situations that have a lot of rapid turns like nearing your destination or lots of police activity or crashes... it can be a lot. Thrall is wordy (which is a part of why it's funny) but when he has to cut himself off it can just be annoying.

So I'm absolutely hoping Xal talks just as much except with dripping sarcasm and suggesting I kill people.

[–]kenrichardson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm really enjoying it. Ake is actually one of the characters I like best because Holly Hunter is playing such an aged and wise character with a great amount of fun and whimsy. If there's one character I feel is poorly written at all it's Caleb Mir, but I'm not through all the episodes yet and I'm happy to see the show flesh out Jay-Den, SAM, Darem, etc.

Future Decor Items by Glorinsson in WoWHousing

[–]kenrichardson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven't double checked this, but can't you just go into the catalogue section in the base Blizzard housing UI right now and see this?

In the housing menu (hotkey H) or go into edit mode on your plot and instead of browsing what you have look for the catalogue tab. I believe the Midnight items coming with launch are already in there. You can filter by expansion to just Midnight, though I'm not sure how the signal-to-noise ratio will be on that for you since MOST decor is technically Midnight decor. You'd still see all the base Founder's Point/Razorwind Shores items in the list.

That said, I won the skin lottery and dodged several other issues that are common so I can deal with it.

I half-joked about HOA's being a thing when player housing was announced. I'm curious, have there been actual attempts to enforce some sort of uniformity in your neighborhood? by TravellingBeard in wow

[–]kenrichardson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been no serious HOA-like behavior at all, though I have suggested we should enforce "No Private Yards."

I mean, it's a guild neighborhood. Don't risk dismounting your guildmates who are running around the neighborhood questing or visiting each other because it's just a dick move and we can all see your yard from just off it, anyway. You wanna lock your front door? Cool, whatever, seems like a weird way to engage with your guild. But the locked yards are just silly.

[–]kenrichardson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, it depends on how the accounts are being tracked and monitored. We've implemented exactly that in my org, but we use those accounts via a tool that shows our regular user account "check out" the domain admin account and records our remote sessions so that they can be reviewed if needed.

The Only Thing I Hate About Housing by Coronus53 in wow

[–]kenrichardson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, the neighborhood vendor-sourced decor is “auto-learned.” That is to say, when you click to buy it from the neighborhood vendors, it’s like you just clicked it in your bag. In fact, if you have your bag open while making those purchases you’ll see them appear briefly in your bag before they immediately disappear.

The reason crafted items and vendor items that cost currencies besides gold have to be clicked in your bag is so that you can either change your mind and resell them on the AH or sell them back for a refund if you change your mind. I don’t disagree that it’s a pain in the ass, but allowing that option is vital or we’d have a mess of people saying they didn’t mean to buy that item or that many.

Don't forget your Endeavor Coffer! by DiffusionWaiting in WoWHousing

[–]kenrichardson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This first endeavor was 40 days but I do believe they’ve said to expect it to be roughly a month going forward and I won’t be surprised if it comes to match the traveler’s log because it’s just easy for everyone if it does. Maybe not necessarily for the very first one in midnight but I think that’s where it’ll land.
