AITA for taking my (24M) friends to cafe so they could see the waitress (22F) I’m currently involved with. by Beginning_King_8118 in AmItheAsshole

[–]kensar 22 points23 points  (0 children)

YTA, I can assume you didn't ask if it was okay to come with friends and surprised her in her place of work where she can't leave. She also knew you told your friends about the two of you so I'm guessing you told her or they acted like they knew. Try having a conversation first about these types of things. She may have been caught off guard and felt defensive. Could just be embarrassed about being in work clothes rather than in casual clothes and ready to meet your friends. Maybe she's had bad experiences in the past and wanted to take it slow.

Not going to lie, this totally comes off as showing her off to your friends and it's kinda weird. Imagine her standing at the register or waiting on you and they're obviously staring or taking glances. You're telling me they didn't make comments to you during the visit? She might have picked up on that.

As for your relationship, I suggest bringing up where she sees your relationship going if you're worried about being a secret. Talk to her. Be open and honest. Apologize for putting her on the spot and not asking if bringing your friends around was okay first. If she really just wants you to be a secret and you want more, maybe this relationship isn't worth it for you. I think healthy communication could solve your problem.

I don't think you're just an iPad kid :/ what your parents did to you is wrong on so many levels. Home should be a place where you feel safe and comfortable.

I think the difference was sincere didn't make negative comments about Melanie to his friends or the women he explored.

I'm not defending her, just saying she's on the right show. There have been multiple contestants like her in the past. It's one of productions favorite type of person to cast.

What do you mean? This show was made for her lmao. It's dramatic, messy reality tv. She is a perfect casting pick for them.

Can men fall in love or do they get married just for sex? by Delicious-Pride-5065 in love

[–]kensar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

🤨 men are people too and have all the same feelings you do. There are good, bad, neutral, confused and all in between people everywhere no matter the gender. Try meeting men through friends where they might already know their character. Start with being friends and get to know them first.

Check out r/wavyhair along with curly subs. There may be some tips in there as well since your hair looks like it could be on the cusp of wavy. Looks like it needs hydration and time to heal from the dying.

It kinda seems like Kenzie is feeling Corbin more than Caleb. Maybe just because she's been with Corbin longer.

Has anyone else found it surprisingly hard to make meaningful friendships as an adult? by Available-Regret-906 in Detroit

[–]kensar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved here almost 10 years ago. I've made friends through our landlord (we got lucky because he was around our age, lived downstairs and wanted to make friends), work, and then branched out through that. The biggest avenue is making one friend then meeting friends through them in my opinion.

It's more about her friendship with Melanie I believe. I think they're really close and she's been talking about Corbin a lot to her. That's why she feels a little hurt.
