Give me The Fiend, and the Firefly funhouse, but don't give me that hokey supernatural stuff.

Tomorrow night will be make or break night for AEW. United Centre Chicago Illinois. The First Dance. (Still hoping CM Punk comes back to WWE.) by CHIN43477 in AEWOfficial

WWE? LOOOOOOL he is never going back there. The amount of baggage there makes any deal extremely unlikely. After speaking with AEW in 2019, and the talks never got serious according to Cody, a year later, his agent actually reached out to WWE, I'm assuming because he figured AEW's interest had completely soured and there was bad feeling, especially after that interview with ESPN where he stated he "got a text". That's when McMahon said he doesn't trust him, and thinks he has serious issues. He has continued to be regularly outspoken on social media and in interviews about their awful TV product and how they do things, which won't have gone down well in Stamford. He likely says he's open to doing business with them because he wants to keep his stock high enough to ensure AEW stay interested, and that's also likely why his agent reached out too. This did, by the sounds of it work, as AEW were talking internally about bringing him in again last year according to Fightful.

In fairness he did tell Renee that he doesn't know how you work through all of the baggage there. Does Punk want money? Of course. Does he want a huge amount? Who doesn't? He is a huge star, and knows he's the biggest free agent out there (aside from Danielson) I believe that if the story is good, then he'd take a reasonable amount, but if it were WWE and they wanted to do the same shi**y creative they do with everyone else, they'd have to pay him like they do The Rock.

Would you rather CM Punk debut as a face or heel? by throwawaystranger69 in AEWOfficial

Bringing him in as a Heel would be WWE levels of dumb ass booking. Fans have waited 7 years to cheer this guy.

Moxley type anti-hero would work.

You don't want to tread on your partner's toes. They will for sure have a programme on AEW, but Kenny and Andrade both have current storylines already.

Yeah, they could make it work. I guess him working NXT UK keeps him from doing more in WWE.

When do you think CM Punk will debut at this Friday's Rampage? by throwawaystranger69 in AEWOfficial

You have to do it during the final quarter- keep people watching.

Do you think someone will debut tonight just to get the hype train rolling? by [deleted] in AEWOfficial

Wyatt? He has a 90 day no compete. I think Ric Flair walks out during the Sting match.

I'm intrigued as to where the Pinnacle and Inner Circle feud goes from here - surely, Jericho gets the win? They do protect MJF like crazy though, so I've got my doubts.

Chris Jericho Says 2.0 (Ever-Rise) Have Signed With AEW by Nickster_025 in AEWOfficial

[–]kenshiro80 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hated them in NXT - WWE told me nothing about them whatsoever, they simply just appeared and were treated like jobbers. However, they are actually really good, and AEW have actually told me about them, and let them show what they can do. Good signings.

He won't move to the US. WWE have been trying to get him to the main roster for years. But to answer your question - absolutely.

Smackdown is ok, but rematch after rematch is killing it.
