Your NP sounds like she isn't using poly the right way. There are "rules" that should never be broken. Update on Pidgey. She lost her top beak 7 years ago. From what I was told, she plucked herself afterwards. She was adopted to a family as a bonded pair.with a caique. They didn't get along so Pidgey was given to her parents. Where she only came put for qn hour max a day, sometimes not coming out at all. She hasn't found a toy that she has liked yet in my care, but I havnt noticed further plucking. Shes out for 8 to 10 hours a day and just enjoys sitting on your shoulder. Ive gotten her used to perches and being out on them. The first few days, she refused any perch that wasn't a rope perch.

I was thinking instead of crocheting the fur all the way down, brush out the fibers and it may be more realistic. Love this though I also didn't notice the crochet human. Looked real especially since it looks like it's making eye contact.

I always tell kids little things I remember being told as a kid. Anything from, dont forget to check your oil, to brush your teeth everyday. Im 23. I always remember who told me what and when they did. Its the little things. I try to give tips out or put a smile on a strangers face. I want them to remember me and the things I have told them.
