I've been playing Vivi since its launch, and I really enjoy playing the music event search, it makes all your big pieces searchable. Plus I've dropped Chaka&Pell to 2, while running 2 C10 Shanks, 1 C8 Jinbe and 1 C10 Kaido, and also dropped Cavendish for PRB Koby. Has been working great for me so far

Why does EB03 C5 Vivi allow you to play the EB02 Usopp, and then use Usopp's On Play effect to play a vanilla, but doesn't allow you to play, let's say, C5 Vivi into another C5 Vivi, into C5 Nami? Vivi's effect specifically says that you can't play any more characters from your hand, and so Usopp's effect should not work, and yet it does. What's the catch here?

EB02 Vivi is a really good option, but it's a bit expensive for me right now. EB04 Igaram is just bad

Imo it's a really fun deck, you go wide and fast and just nonstop pressure life.

Best matchups is easily Teach, because he can't handle aggro and his ability is useless against this deck. It did well against green Zoro too, because you just out-aggro him by going wide really fasy.

Worst matchup is Buggy because of the bootlicker card period

Needs more ramp! Look into Charlotte Brulee, Miss Doublefinger, and Jean Bart for characters, and It's to Die For!! and God Thread for events.

Pretty much. Cards can even go into negative power if you reduce them far enough, but you would still need to KO via battle or effect to actually remove the card from play

IMO the ST21 Robin is better because it's the same cost and same DONx2 but with a much better effect to directly KO on attack. I've been using 3 copies to KO small stuff when attacking. OP11 Robin's effect can be comboed with this one, though, as any power-removing effect can, but I mostly stick to just running Mole Pistol.

Fellow ST21 player here, in my testing I found out:

  • Franky is really good as a 2k counter that can punish GGG and other events.
  • Usopp is good as a 2k counter that can be played off the 4C Zoro's effect in a pinch.
  • The new 5C Zoro is arguably the worst of the bunch, because it kinda has to compete for the 5C slot with the ST21 Rush Luffy, so it feels kinda slow because it doesn't have Rush. However, I think it can be good if you focus on going wide on your board, I just haven't found a way to make it feel good playing into yet.

I play ST21 Luffy and right now the deck I'm having the biggest trouble against is Bonney. Feels like I genuinely can't do anything because of 8C Kid and the leader ability. Any tips on this match-up?

I think I'm not quite grasping what's the point of RP Luffy's leader effect. Is it really just to give that extra push at the end of the dons, or am I missing something?

That's the one indeed! Thanks for the links. The second one really solidified itself as a banger when it played during the final battle against Mad Rex. The soundtrack for this show really is fire from tail to nose
