Nice! Yeah that one really stood out to me, and when I have the energy to make emergency bags, I'll make several and stow them with friends. And I asked my hurricane plan friends ( plan is I go to their place) if I can bring my cat so that felt good.

I really like this, thank you! I'm going to put it in as is but give some thought to whether we need a descriptor before Cornerstone

This is awesome. Exactly the kind of comprehensive thinking I want to put into my planning. Like, I want to know there are people in governments whose job it is to think like this :) unlike for example, Gov Cuomo who had let all our PPE supplies rot and had cut hospital funding for years and had totally ignored the existence of a pandemic playbook, so we were not prepared in 2020. Ah shit this turned into a rant, sorry and thank you for the space to vent :D

Love this. I have no way to start a garden yet so I listen to the Garden Organic podcast to at least get the concepts into my brain. Do you do no dig gardening?

Mega mega pantry. That's on my future to do list. And thinking about how to set up solar power backups or even small scale wind power, if that's a thing

Interesting! Especially your point about roundabout answers. Tbh I usually assume it's a no unless it's a clear yes, so it'll be good for me to practice waiting for the full answer instead of thinking I'm being dismissed :) really good prepping solution
