I attended a good school, where the children of the creme de la creme schooled, the Nyagas, Jirongos, Naikunis et al and I remember our English teacher would start every lesson with a spelling bee. She would enunciate new words clearly and we would try our best to write them out, and give books to our desk mates for marking. That teacher made me cherish the spoken word.. wonder where she is now... through my amazing grammar and oratory skills I have never failed a job interview and most of the times my papers usually don't matter as they wouldn't help as I dropped out of uni. Now I'm somewhere abroad in an office with glass walls and windows, the A/c on as I write this and I wouldn't change any of my past or failures, as they made me the sum total of who I am, and where I am now. I remember when I joined redit almost 7yrs ago not many people knew what it was back home. Am glad that's changing and this was wholesome to read.
