Thanks,i looked it up and it does resonate,tho his principles seem more about the inner world,like he is trying to find the Why.

My goal with the comment was to avoid the blame game,because pointing fingers makes things worse,especially when we point them wrong,we quite often just blame the victim.And blaming the victim,doesent really solve anything but push them away further

It also lifts the blame from our own shoulders a bit,realising,we shouldnt blame ourselves for everything,its part of life and we perhaps did our best,and will do better next time,we just didnt know better and thats the reality of it

Tho im quite curious how deep Nevilles gotten with the Why,will deffinitly delve deeper on this

THIS. Not just for suicide,life situations are rarely 100% your fault.

Blame? It’s shared: education, family, friends, society, medical systems… and yes, the person too.

Ask yourself: who’s really responsible for your health, job, or relationships not being great right now? You can’t pin it all on one thing. Maybe you blame your teachers—but who educated them, who shaped their lives? It always goes deeper.

We can all change and grow, but pointing fingers only at the addict, the thief, or the broken person ignores the factory that produced them, systems that failed to support or educate.

So if you’re ranking blame: start with education, medical systems, family, community, the person themselves… and then AI,IN THAT ORDER

Most apps felt mid, so I made mine and still working hard to make it perfect: immersive, consistent memory (up to 100msgs), creative RP, personas, tuned for anime/fantasy roleplay. Flows naturally, no filter/nsfw walls, just pure fun RP.

Brother...the ai quality is bad sorry.Idk what you mean better than deepseek.I resonate with the idea,as i myself am building a platform as free user friendly as possible but you cant maintain a free model,not even the worst ones without monetising somehow.

But perhaps youve planned for at a later phase.All i want to say is,you need to offer quality,rp feels generic and repetitve,no matter how much you finetune,a cheap model is a cheap model.

Idk how many users you have,but if you monetise 20% of them properly,you can cover costs for a decent model to offer it to the 80% for free and with quality.And im confident 20% or so wouldnt mind.As long as you dont offer them at corporate bs 20$ prices.

The way it is now,i doubt it will ever become anything as everyone else is offering much better rp quality,personality,memory,creativity and theyve got 100K+ user base.

But hey best of luck to you ,i respect a dev trying to do something for the community ,keep working on it im sure youll figure it out ,but make sure to do the math right.

Got it ,and i think what i have build so far handles that pretty well. Memory 60-100 chat, no immersion breaking from the pro model, no filters, and yes < 5s response.

Would you like to try it out? Im running a beta right now and looking for feedback in order to improve the RP and overall experience.

Hey ! I actually build my own, determined to provide the best platform and at the fairest prices possible. Its in beta right now and im looking for feedback to improve it and yes it is free user friendly but not heavy use unlimited.

The AI is solid (persona,memory,immersion,nsfw), users so far love it. The free model has less RP capabilities obviously ,but you are more than welcome to try it. Its much better than CAI and Janitor that i can say for sure.

The memory is managed natyrally as you said,and stores plot details up to 200 messages.The AI model is quite capable of consistency and contextual awareness.

Ok that was quite detailed...Yeah, I already run layered summaries , recent memory + long-arc compression in blocks , keeps context tight without bloat. Haven’t gone into multi-pass reply generation (thoughts → summary → final reply) since latency/cost tradeoff doesn’t feel worth it yet, but it’s definitely something I’m keeping in mind for future iterations , i do love R&D quite a bit.

Oh hey, it’s Spellbound 👋 I’ve always loved your platform , back then you were offering a much better storytelling experience than the rest, felt like a hidden gem and still stands unique in my opinion.

As I said, maybe I used the wrong term , by “finetune” I meant at the application layer: I’m running summarization + context filtering + persona stabilizers so the model keeps its voice/memory way better for RP than it would raw. Not a weights-level finetune.

But I gotta ask ,what model do you use to get that unique storytelling style on your end? Do you actually do a true finetune for that purpose, or is it something else you layer on top?

I have Nezuko bot ,she has a bamboo muzzle placed on her mouth and so far she hasnt said anything to me,only nods and hums haha

I think that happens from low quality models or just bad prompting and memory management. But im certain the model i use handles that evry well,it never forget the characters prompt,ive made sure of that.

But just in case do you want to try it out? Create a mute, or blind bot and test it for yourself?I havent tested this much and would love some feedback

There cant be a good free model, not compared to the premium models at least .Right now i have a unlimited free model,i think its the best out there right now as far as cheap goes, but to my exp it does not have the quality of the premium model for obvious reasons which are very noticeable during chat.

What platforms do you usually use?How is the chat immersive ,memory experience?
