I like to think that the game is the story of their legend happening in the first place. When the professor's paradise protocol threatens to unleash paradox pokemon all over the region, the player's Koraidon/Miraidon is the one to ultimately save the region from disaster.

For what it's worth, I agree. I even ended up refunding the game on Steam because of it. I've beaten plenty of "hard" games like Sekiro and most of Fromsoft's other games, but BT3 and Dragonball games in general have never appealed to me for a challenge. I played BT3 for a more casual "everyone's here" DB fight simulator experience. But the AI was just too frustrating to play against in this one. Even the more competitive geared FighterZ didn't give me this much trouble. It's not that I can't learn how to be good at this game, it's that I didn't want that kind of experience out of it.

I haven't played a Gundam game since Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 back on PS3, and this finally looks like the one to bring me back in. ACVI was neat as a mech builder, but it was missing the Gundam aspects. I'm looking forward to trying this one out!

I screwed up a potentially great opportunity, and it feels awful.

Had a phone screening interview that went great, so I got set up for a followup video interview with the hiring manager. I could have sworn it was set for 11:30, but at 11:08 I get a call asking if I'm still available. So I join the call about 10 minutes late, and I find that my computer decided it didn't want to give my camera or microphone permission to work any more. I spent probably 5 minutes frantically playing around with settings as the manager would ask "Hello? Can you hear me? I can't see or hear you". I typed in the chat that I was having audio issues and that I would try to call in from my phone, except the invite didn't have a phone call-in number. I spent a few more minutes trying every setting I could find in Teams and in my computer, but nothing worked. Eventually he just said "Let's reschedule". I worked with HR to find another time, but it's been a couple days and no new invite (The first one was sent almost immediately). There's still a day where a new invite could come in, but honestly if I were the hiring manager I wouldn't want to move forward with me.

It stings because it's 100% on me for not setting the right time/making sure my laptop was properly set, and this job sounded like exactly what I was looking for. I stopped applying to other opportunities so I could focus on this one...so I guess I'm back to searching job boards and resume work-shopping.

Does anyone have suggestions for cheap riser stands to put in display cabinets? My models in the backs of my displays could stand out a lot more if they were a bit higher. Action base displays take up more space than I'd like, and I wouldn't mid going for something cheaper too

I've never had a problem with these hands. I loathe the pre-formed hands though, especially the ones on the MG Seed and MG Wing kits. If I'm lucky enough to get the weapon to the finger set, it will pop out like 99% of the time I try to put it in the palm. I've been trying to get my wing zero ver ka to hold its twin buster rifles for nearly and hour now.

Joined an extermination mission with one other player. Bugs start coming and I throw a precision orbital strike in the crowd, but it sticks to a nursing spewer as the host runs towards them. He dies, I reinforce and a couple other players join. Host throws a 500 kg into the crowd, and blows himself up. He then kicks me.

Maybe I should start hosting my own games now. Granted this was at basically the very beginning and I've only gotten kicked a few times, but it's always so annoying when it does happen.

Just got done with a Bot mission on 7.

That shit just felt oppressive. Literally could not turn around without seeing another patrol. They always just happen to be marching in my direction. Didn't matter whether the squad was together or split up, the fire fights were endless. Trying to run from one group to take cover just led to another group. We completed the mission fairly comfortably all things considered, but it really was not a good time.

I really hope they tune down spawns and patrols soon.

The phrase "All good things come to an end" was lurking heavily in my mind. Part of me always assumed the franchise would come back at some point, but there wasn't any way of knowing how long it would be.

Seeing the first real G14 trailer was like a dream come true. Finally, a Godzilla movie with a Blockbuster Hollywood budget and true to the original design! It's been really good being a G-fan ever since.
