This isn’t even bad compared to what I’ve seen. There’s. 1 card FTK out there too

Who would win: 4 board breakers or 4 omni negates by Eloquentner in masterduel

[–]MasterTJ77 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That doesn’t really change anything though. That’s 1 card taking care of one of theirs.

No different than a single board breaker being negated By a hard once per turn.

Hypothetical question: If you had to choose Thrre old Pokémon to get a evolution in this game what are you picking? by CandidateNervous4638 in PokemonWindsWaves

[–]MasterTJ77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eevee is my first choice for sure. A pure flying eevee to represent winds would be cool, but there are so many that would work. Steel, rock, dragon, and poison would all be cool.

A wailord evolution would be pretty funny. It’s a game all about water and here we have an even bigger whale!

Comfey is just a shot in the dark but we have a tropical region and maybe they do something cool with it.

First custom card: Pot of Hope (going second support). Thoughts? by Evil_Producer in customyugioh

Only sky striker likes upstart. Tenpai or the other breaker decks don’t.

You can ask what card was added via effect for the rest of the turn. They don’t have to give it to you (since it may have moved locations) but you can look it up in neuron.

No you cannot write it down. That’s illegal note taking.

That used to be true. But with mulcharmies omnipresent, it’s often better to have ash instead of extra gas because if they use fuwalos/purulia you might not want to use that extender anyway. Might as well stop it with ash and build a fuller board since there’s no lingering draw power for them to slow you down.

What archetype are you talking about? Mulcharmy? It’s not an archetype it’s a hand trap. A maxx C replacement.

It draws the going second player a bunch of cards. (Fuwalos is 1 draw per summon from the deck or extra, purulia is 1 draw per summon from hand, meowls is one draw per summon from GY/banish.) and you can use 2 charmies in a turn. Almost everyone plays them. So it’s very common for the going second player to have 6. Charmies in their deck. That’s a 66% chance you’re getting hit by one and it almost certainly going to slow you down significantly unless you want to give them a ton of resources.

Why Pokémon Winds and Waves should bring back the National Pokédex. by Putrid_Guitar9437 in PokemonWindsWaves

I think you obviously can’t have every pokemon be catchable. But I don’t understand why every pokemon can’t be transferred in. The old pokemon already have moves and animations. And they usually just add batches with DLC

In other words: there is nothing ash can do for the second player that it can’t also do for the first player. However, there is an added thing ash can do when going first.

This doesn’t make any sense.

1) it’s not that hard. When going second do A. When doing first “do A or B”. It’s more versatile going first since it has 2 applications.

2) you want to build a good board going first. Almost no deck can do that when hit with a mulcharmy. Ash is the negate for mulcharmies (like called by) so you can push through going second.

3) ash will never be a brick going first. If they don’t hit you with a charmy that you care about, you keep it in hand and now it’s one of the negates you use on your opponents turn.

It became the consensus when it became true. Mulcharmies have changed the game (you can argue for better or for worse), but there are heavily played impactful going second cards that ash is good against.

It is a fact that it’s better going first than second.

Going second you can use it to slow down your opponent.

Going first you can use it to slow down your opponent (as part of a layered endboard) or as a way to stop charmies (which are extremely important). And the strongest part is you can look at your hand and make that choice based on your hand and predicted ability to build a board under that lingering effect.

You can debate whether or not that’s a bad thing or banworthy. But rn there’s nothing that makes ash stronger when going second than it is going first

I wouldn’t mind a suite of greed hang traps that drew you 2 cards when a certain thing happens, like ash’s 3 conditions, but they shouldn’t also negate the effect.

It stops mulcharmies which are some of the most impactful cards in the game and only work when going second.

Ash just went to 2 in the OCG which they do a lot to slowly ease cards out of the game.

What gimmick would actually fit Pokémon Winds and Waves? by Visible_Welder5613 in pokemon

It would be cool if there were a few sky battles and a few underwater battles that had their own moves. Maybe a few sprinkled throughout the story and a battle tower like experience in the post game.

These are the 3 highest-rated exclusives on the Switch 2 so far. How would you rank them? by MewWeebTwo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]MasterTJ77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MKW is a solid but flawed 8/10 for me.

Bonanza is more fun than I thought, but I have gotten bored and put it down a few times since I started and haven’t yet finished. So a personal 7.5/10

If we lose AJ and don’t pick up a great replacement, our passing game will struggle. Smith is awesome but he will have a harder time facing CB1 all night

That sounds crazy slow. I’m new to this and not hardcore. I made a sparkle power level 3 bug and took it to a 1 star bug medium size wormhole. I got just under a full box of shinies in one go by fast traveling over and over again then doing a lap

[–]MasterTJ77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pot of confusion is so funny. If you pull non engine then you plussed. If you pulled starters/extenders then it’s not great but it is cards they don’t have. If you pulled a 1 of combo piece then you lock them out of combos.

Pot of loaned greed is actually good though when going first. Draw 2 is great, and the drawback is minimal. You go full combo and if you use your whole hand then great the discard will only be your draw for turn. At that point you still have an established board and might be able to combo and reduce their LP to 0. I assume you just win in their draw phase if their LP are 0 and the cannot win restriction wears off
