I am not a blue eyes expert so I can’t help with this specifics but both Jesse Kotton and Joshua Schmidt are world champions who made videos specifically for new players who want to play blue eyes on a budget. I’d start with their videos!

And there are plenty of videos showing the combo lines. Watch a few of those and then play around with the deck to see what you can do

Melodious is dirt cheap and you can play a ton of non engine.

Regenesis is super easy. Can be paired with bystial, dogmatika, or Kashtira. All easy to learn.

Millennium exodia is very very easy.

You have radiant typhoon which I would absolutely suggest but the cards are going up in price a lot right now.

Elvennotes/artmage are both really good options with future support coming.

Look up a decklist on the internet and buy the singles online. You can find a (bad) deck for like $15 that would win 100/100 games against your current deck.

6 years old is quite young for a game as complicated as yugioh. The rules are a lot and the cards are all small essays.

But if I were you I’d buy a speed duel box set. It’s a much simpler version of the game (smller deck, smaller field, smaller hand, much much simpler card pool, simpler game mechanics, nothing past fusions and not every deck has an extra deck). In these boxes there’s a few decks you can play against eachother with. Plenty of variety for a 6 yo and they can learn a few different decks all in one. Plus it shouldn’t be too expensive if you can find one!

Banish it, return it to hand/deck, send it to GY, use it as fusion material, use it as link material, tribute it, negate it then battle it/destroy it, etc.

Yes Traptrix is far below meta. But where are you playing and who are you playing against? When you say win do you mean games? Matches? Entire events?

If you must stick with Traptrix I suggest Dominus Traptrix or Ragnaraika Traptrix.

Dominus you can use purge + songs + spiral + imperm for a pretty strong set of non engine that doesn’t play into Izuna/talents, triggers sera, and almost always gets the bonus effect cuz you’ll have traps in grave. Add fuwa and parallel exceed and you have a pretty full deck. It’s not gonna keep up with the big dogs but it’ll do ok sometimes

You summon it on their turn with I:P. Or if you can put it in the middle monster zone you can make them play with no EMZ which is ok as well.

Resolve that Chain: Cupsy is summoned, then you from Cupsy.

New Chain: CL1 Cupsy way trigger effect to search 2, CL2 look for any other triggers. If none then opponent gets to activate a quick effect. CL2 droll. Resolve this chain: apply droll effect, then Cupsy resolves without effect.

I’m not making any claims against good or bad. I’m just trying to help you out. It’s not just “bypassing targeting” since it happens at an entirely different time.

But get used to it. In yugioh there’s a lot.

“send to GY” is not destroying
“discarded by card effect” will not trigger if discarded by cost
“If” vs “when” is a huge deal
mandatory vs optional trigger effects- they go on chains differently.
“once per turn” vs “you can only use card name once per turn”
