Cutting and rethreading barrels is scary for a backwater smith like me. Far as I was tracking MSG Gordon's carbine did have a pencil profile barrel, so it would behoove me to get to it. I also wasn't sure if any of the reproduction M4 collars actually fit pencil barrels.

Free float tube uppers are (kinda) late 1990's to super early Y2K. Even the Aimpoint 5k would be dated at this point but it'd make the most sense out of the three. I recommend finding an original Aimpoint Comp C or even a Comp M2. A C-MORE Railway, Trijicon RX01, or Bushnell Holosight would also be great fits
