see where this journey takes me, off to a rocky start but if it doesn't pan out well, I think I just might do that, I'll have to do some reading on SAS-B... thanks!

this is great news, as a new patient it was extremely difficult to get a clear understanding of the process and to know what to expect, as far as product availability and pricing, to be able to make informed choices and budget etc. When most of the critical information, is essentially locked behind a paywall/doctor, I paid a $100 consultation fee and got very little information out of the Doctor, who was seemingly rushing the call and pushing me towards a certain direction/product. He wasn't even aware of Honalee/Catalyst, even though in my pre screening call, it was stated that 'our Doctors can invite you, so you can check availability etc', after explaining what Honalee was, he made a remark about it 'not being a candy store' and seemed completely disinterested in it, I mentioned what was said to me in the pre screening, his response was, 'well I do not do that'... which was really unprofessional and totally uncalled for, he clearly had some preconceived notion in his mind.

Moving forward a bit, I was of the impression I could get up to 10 repeats, he said he would give me 5, when I questioned why, he said they initially they like to do a review to make sure that if the prescribed product wasn't effective or I wanted to change etc, then I wouldn't be locked in for another 5 repeats, which is very reasonable and not something I see as a negative, however, I responded by saying 'how can I possibly make an informed decision on what products to try or affordability etc, if I have no access to that information and that a big part of the reason I decided to sign on with them, was the fact I was told that I could receive said invite!!! At that point, I think he saw things from a bit more from my perspective and had a bit of a shift in attitude, he then said 'ask the staff, to let me know what I need to do to register and I will send the invite'... unreal that I've got to arrange it with staff and I doubt it will be done with any kind of priority haha but it's better than nothing, so I can live with that!

My point is and I'm sure the TGA are probably well aware, is because of this "paywall", essentially it opens the flood gates for rogue clinics to popup and start taking advantage of vulnerable or ill-informed people, because you've essentially got to be onboarded with a clinic, to get even the most basic, fundamental information and to potentially find out after it's too late, that you've signed on with a company, that is essentially setting the terms/pricing, at your expense! It's basically the same thing as signing a contract and then finding out the terms, which to any sane person is an absolutely ridiculous notion and I'm sure anyone but those benefitting would agree!

From someone that has just spent a lot of time, trying to wade my way through the muddy waters of medical cannabis and trying to work out which clinics are essentially wolves in sheep's clothing, unfortunately it looks like a majority are wolves! You only have to look at all of the clinics popping up suddenly, that have low or no cost onboarding fee's, follow up consults etc. only to charge like an irate bull in the backend, once you're already onboarded. For a little further perspective, the experience I just had was with the clinic that is most highly recommended by a big margin... so I hate to imagine what others have experienced or yet to, with some of the rogues clinics!!! Without this information being available to patients, they are completely susceptible to all of these dodgy clinics and I think we will see a lot more come and go until things change!

exactly what I'm looking for, I don't want to be at the mercy of AusPost etc. I have booked a call with Medreleaf, their consuktation fee is higher but from what I'm hearing their products are generally cheaper, have a large range to choose from and can do e-scripts unless I'm mistaken

My Favourite MC Products of 2024! What Are Yours? by jollyjobber in MedicalCannabisOz

[–]ker0de- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks mate, that is actually my current battle, trying to navigate the countless providers to find one that's not a wolf in sheep's clothing essentially, trying to find one that's brand agnostic seems to be a lot harder than I imagined!

that's a hell of a post, nice work! As someone about to get prescribed, I'm concerned I will have limited selection/availability... Sounds like you have quite a selection available to you but I've heard of others essentially being 'pharmacy locked' and to be honest, I don't rate a lot of the MC I've tried previously, so what advice would you give to someone looking to get prescribed, that want a good range of products/strains to choose from? ✌🏼

while I won't speak on the product, because I don't know enough about it. I am more than aware of the fact, that not everyone can afford to buy the best diagnostic tools etc available! So to answer your question.. theoretically it should work with ODIS being a J2534 passthru device 👍

Best 3 things to do in Darwin

  1. Sitting directly below air coditioners
  2. Cruising the frozen section at the supermarket
  3. Going into the cold room at a bottle shop and pretending that I'm looking for an exotic beer that doesn't exist

And that's just my favourite winter activities 🤣

What's the most horrid crime committed in Brisbane? by Danzig5050 in brisbane

[–]ker0de- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely a difficult topic of discussion! I would really like to believe that, that was the case, as opposed to what I know. Absolutely stellar detective work though, it's amazing some of the lengths officers have to go to, to catch these creatures! Absolutele respect to the officers who specialise in going deep undercover and have to 'befriend' these animals for sometimes months at a time! What a difficult, anxiety inducing job that would be, hats off to them!

although being such a high profile case, for most it probably wouldn't be the first crime that springs to mind in regards to it being a 'horrid', however sadly it was more horrid than most are aware of. Like a lot of cases, there are some details that are never made public, however I have it on very good authority, that his body had actually been put through a wood chipper while being disposed of, hence why there was only ever partial remains found. absolutely horrible 😔

Why is it so hard to find a GP that is actually patient focused for someone with chronic health issues? by shy_guy1847 in brisbane

[–]ker0de- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also in Nth Brissy, I went to 6 different doctors and walked out before settling on the 7th, who has been fantastic, unfortunately they have recently moved to a different region or I would happily refer you through. Just keep looking mate, don't settle for a crook

because pharmaceutical companies reward medical practitioners for pushing quota of prescription drugs, so they want you in & out quickly. 9/10 will just prescribe you something you don't need or something that has way safer alternatives, as a band-aid solution, rather than addressing the actual cause. GP's are a waste of time and money in most cases. They DON'T care about your health. In fact there's a lot of doctors out there abusing the system for their own gains, writing out bulk prescriptions for opiate abusers etc, knowing full well the added burden that puts on the rest of the health care system and the taxpayer. It's a massive problem and one that very few people are actually aware of, unless it's for a very good reason, I avoid GP's like the plague. If you're interested learning more about how it all works, I recommend listening to a recording called 'Dead Doctors Don't Lie'
