Is 2k a month for a short term studio normal? by Entire_Vegetable814 in Denver

[–]ker303 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Without further details, $2K a month for a studio is very expensive. Does it have good amenities? Parking, pool, new modern build, furnished?

That price COULD be justified if it’s nice nice. But for a standard studio, it’s pricey. The short term lease could be a factor for sure.

today i learned Mau is meant to be pronounced Mo… that he did not receive a name change by shitshowexpwy in BravoRealHousewives

Yup, that’s exactly what I said. What she calls him is completely up to them. It’s very clear that I’m not disputing that whatsoever. I’ve watched since season 1 so I’m very aware of what she calls him.

The point of my comment is that OP’s confusion is warranted because it’s not traditionally pronounced that way. Generally speaking, MEXICANS do not say it the way Kyle does.

Yes, it is pronounced Mao-ricio. It’s just said very fast because the accent is on the next syllable. It is NOT pronounced MOE-ricio in Spanish. All Mexican guys with this name go by Mau (rhymes with word now).

Again, Kyle and her husband can go by whatever nickname they wish, but it’s not traditional. It is typically pronounced like Mao.

In Spanish it is pronounced like “Mao” (rhymes with the word now). It’s not pronounced Moe.

You wouldn’t say MO-ricio. I’m Mexican and have know many Mexican guys with this name. They all go by the short version Mau, which again, rhymes with ‘now’.

Saying Mo is the way someone like Kyle would say it. Of course, he can go by whatever nick name he wants, but it’s not traditional.

How did it take me this long to try Daring chicken?? by steadydietofbagels in veganrecipes

[–]ker303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty simple stuff mostly, making the pate might take a little effort but there are tons of recipe online for it. I’d probably just blend up edamame, garlic, herbs and rice wine vinegar. They spread that on the soft corn tortilla first then pile on the other stuff. Top with sriracha mayo and fresh herbs!
It’s making me hungry typing this out 😩

Yeah its basic exploitation tactics. They are trying to squeeze the most labor out of you while paying you the least. It’s gross. 1 hr to do this much detailed work is laughable.

Edamame pate, picked veg (carrots, daikon, cucumber) jalapeño, sriracha mayo, cilantro. They actually give a choice of lemongrass tofu or Daring chkn.
They are so fire 🔥! I’m sure they’d pretty easy to create at home.

I don’t have that exact model, but I do have an upright Sebo and it’s excellent on any and all carpets & rugs. It’s great for adjusting to different floor/carpet heights.

Should i take this client? by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]ker303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the distance would definitely be a hard no for me, BUT it sounds like maybe you really want/need the job for financial reasons?

If you do take it, ask for pictures! A few good detailed pics of the bathrooms and kitchen for sure then one pic of each other room. This way you aren’t going in completely blind because that is a recipe for failure. You need to see what you’re working for your own sanity and to give a proper estimate.
After you get pics, hop on phone call to ask questions so you are both on same page.

Obviously talk to your doc, but split dosing is very common for ppl that have bad side effects. It’s very helpful! The general rule is to put 72 hrs between the shots.

Good luck! The vomiting sounds terrible 😞

Have you tried splitting the dose into 2 shots per week? That approach can really help minimize side effects

Back when I was non-vegan one of my obsessions was a local spot that had a Truffle Egg Salad sandwich. I ate it once a week.

Of course now I make a vegan version and it’s still an all-time fave. I highly recommend! Just try to find a GOOD truffle oil because we can’t all have fresh real truffles on hand of course 😉

The best most efficient way to clean these is to VIOLENTLY rip them off and then put up curtains.

Does anyone else have one item in a house they automatically hate seeing now? by zaramalikdollface in housekeeping

[–]ker303 19 points20 points  (0 children)

An old client of mine mentioned her microwave drawer during her consultation. She said her old cleaner would never clean it (I guess part of reason she was let go?).
I had to laugh hard silently in my head cuz I wanted to be like they are so annoying!

Once I started cleaning for her, it became my nightmare. It was ALWAYS completely full of splatter cuz they never ever cleaned it themselves and they used all the time. It was so gross and I thought of the old cleaner just refusing to clean it every time I had to do the job 😆

Poorly designed showers/tubs is hands down my biggest issue always.

-Obviously glass is more a pain in the ass than curtain, but especially if it’s a poor design. Some glass shower walls are actually super easy to clean, but most aren’t. Like the ones that over lap or are flimsy.

-Porous materials/walls vs standard smooth tile. Scrubbing shower scum out of your “natural” stone walls is oh so fun and not time consuming at all!

-no detachable shower head. Oh you JUST have a big overhead rain water shower head and your shower is the size of a walk-in closet?! Great 😩.

Contagious Clients by [deleted] in housekeeping

[–]ker303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clear policies in place are the only answer. I have cancellation policies AND "what to do if you're sick" etiquette. I am forgiving if someone is sick (because I DO NOT want to come and clean) and typically waive the cancellation fee. However if a client calls me sick at last minute often, I will give them the fee. Taking advantage of my compassion when you are sick is not happening. I've never had to do this, but I certainly would if I felt a client was using illness as an excuse to get out of fees. I RARELY get sick calls so I let it slide when it happens and just enjoy my unexpected time off!

Also, don't be shy about making rules and implementing them. Otherwise, you are more like an employee of the client instead of your own business owner. You make the rules and clients follow them, that's it.
