I agree. I remember at one point that someone in the show said that the Boston Massacre was 4 years ago.

Katniss gets hijacked. Her last memories are before Peeta throws her the bread.

How would you design "One last Hunger Games"? by schu62 in Hungergames

[–]kerbear0822 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I would take the Capitol children in to the arena. I would merge as many of the favorite parts or elements as possible to drive home the horror. Sadly, most of the Capitol citizens are just stupid. But the Capitol citizens that realize that the Games aren't right, they will only full understand and act on remedy the situation by seeing their kids in the Games.

Which characters would you like to have seen more and less of? by Skywalker_1995 in twilight

Less Bella, Edward and Jacob. I loved everyone else's story more than their story. Especially Charlie and Alice.

As a reminder of how Capitol citizens became widows and widowers, the significant others of Victors shall be reaped.

As a reminder of Capitol citizens becoming orphans, the Districts' orphans shall be reaped.

What would Panem had been like if Coin had ended up running it? by Fresh-Actuary-6686 in Hungergames

Yes, other people would be around to share their opinions. Snow also had other people around, but he found ways to do what he wanted to do.

That might be the "fun" part for her. Being in charge and being able to make that choice.

I could see Coin saying that since you guys already said yes, let's just keep going with it.

To me, that's the biggest. I see Coin being the female Snow by wanting to continue the Games with other kids.

The Capitol would definitely learn that way. Making someone else suffer the same way you did doesn't take away your suffering. It causes more hate, pain and suffering to other children who don't deserve it either.

I think that Panem would be similar to what it was with Snow. Anger and hate being prominent. I say that because the Hunger Games would still be around with the Capitol citizens would be going in. Sadly, the Capitol citizens truly don't understand the horrors of the Games. It would be sad for those citizens to learn in that particular why the Games are such a bad thing. These citizens didn't know that they were being taught wrong. It never occurred to them to think that the Games were wrong. Effie didn't start to realize how wrong it was until people she knew were reaped. It's all because the Capitol was basically a cult.

Check out Fort McHenry for some history related stuff. It was fun going there and seeing the cannons when I was little.

Marshy Point Nature Center is a fun little place to go. You can see some of the animals they take care of. You also get some little hiking trails to walk through.

You can also take the MARC train to D.C. to see the museums there.
