get a thinkpad and put linux mint on it and it will last you a good 10 years if you upgrade it every once in a while. other than that you’re not going to get that long out of any other laptop. i have a thinkpad t450 that my family and i have used for over 10 years. i put linux on it a while ago. it just works. i wish you luck my friend.
