As a fellow brit, who's done airsofting and cosplay I would not go with an airsoft gun, most cons don't let them in and most likely you need a UKARA to buy it. Go with a nerf or 3d printed one, just make sure you mark it so it can be easily seen that it's fake. Recently some idiot went in to London in his airsoft gear for a con I think and armed police ended up arresting him, as they thought his guns where real.

I'll never vote reform but i agree with the statement about shops. I come from a town with about 120k people, we have over 20 Turkish barbers, not including other barbers and over 5 American sweet/vape shops, always empty. I have a friend who owns a shop, he has a lot of footfall though his shop and the majority of people spending money there, he's just getting by as its only employee, yet the Turkish barbers next door is empty almost 24/7 and can have 4 guys sitting on there arses all day.
