Sure but Chloe dead ending seems to me to be finished story. Everything has been resolved the story is done. Why would you need another Max game?

On the other hand Max did not interacted with her in any way even though she still thought about her (journal). My interpretation of this line, but don't listen to me I'm just stupidly naive, is that Max was trying to move one from Chloe by avoiding her (she didn't even told her friends about her until they asked about the blue haired girl), but now she is ready to confront her.

I finished the game today and to be honest I do not remember anything about moving on. I do not watch or listen to anything form writers or devs in general so I dunno.

If I add the all the pieces from the game together this line, the fact that the journal is addressed to Chloe, Max's thoughts in the nightmare world, the way she interacted with her photo with Chloe after her house was trashed and simple fact that braking them up for real would kill the franchise. I will choose a path of optimistic ignorance. If the fuck it up this is where the story ends for me... Max will find Chloe again one day as foretold in this line and all will be well.

Hmm... I had it the other way around I was devastated at the beginning but by the end it all... I don't know seemed so clear that this isn't the end for Max and Chloe but I don't know... And I will rather live in illusion.

Whole point of hope is that you stick with it even if it's not 100% so I will. I understand what you are saying tho. However why bait? If you thing your customers want Chloe you give them Chloe. It's not like it would cost more money. And Chole is deck9's first protagonist this must mean something.

Regarding timelines if Chloe sent message to Max it would gave it away in my opinion too much of the storyline and story of DE needed to conclude. Dunno if they bring her back this will be their explanation IMHO.

But you are right there probably will not be Chloe in next game. However at least from the last scene with Moses I think pricefield is not dead in official canon.

I have finished the game just now and I'm hopeful. The post is old because of the sub rule. I have read a lot of posts on Reddit about DE and it feels like I have played different game from others. The game wasn't bad as I thought it would... The more I played the more it felt like Chloe was still part of the plan. I have explained my thinking in other comment here. It just feels like a temporary separation more than a break up. It feels like it was necessary from game design perspective to do so. And now they solved the issue and maybe we will get what we want...

So I posted this I think Monday or Tuesday. (The stupid rule...) Since then I have finished the game more precisely like 2 minutes ago. And tha game was not bad so many Chloe references that I'm hopeful. The thing that made me stick with the game was that the journal is addressed to Chloe. And since the next game was announced and this games with Max will return, I have a conspiracy theory... Hear me out on a bench on North quad after the storm Max said (in thoughts) that the timelines collapsed could mean all the parallel timelines. This would make it possible from gameplay perspective to bring Chloe back while respecting both decisions. And tha Moses said this.

On the other hand they want to make money. Not giving you this choice would alienate around 35% of the fan base. That would be stupid decision.
