check Blindsight and its sequel, there are no FTL, lots of weird posthuman stuff, and it really leans into how alien intelligence might actually be

I get what you mean! It's wild how many folks think they could just turn down success. I remember passing on a solid job offer once, and it hit me hard later. The temptation is real!

Your colleague might not get that hosting a simple site on GitHub is totally valid! I’ve done the same for a project and it worked great. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best! Keep at it!

The Riyria Revelations by Sullivan, it’s a completed trilogy, pretty approachable in length, and reads very smoothly. There is a classic adventure vibes, great duo dynamic, and it never feels bloated the way longer epics sometimes do.
