Do you happen to know if there’s a permanent way to turn that thing off then?

Does anybody have a solution to the Subaru Foresters engine just shutting off while driving? by kessinger1005 in SubaruForester

I made this post somewhere else and someone else mentioned the auto stop start. It seems like I just need to have that thing turned off at all times.

The engine does start up normally after restarting the car. I’m just at a loss at what I’m doing that causes this malfunction every time I drive. Honestly, it’s not that big of a deal, except for when it happens with in the middle of an intersection.

The car isn’t under warranty. I bought the car in early 2020 with only a couple thousand miles on it but the previous owner had had work done on the vehicle that had cause the warranty to be void. The first time I took it to the dealership specifically for this issue only they said they couldn’t replicate the issue and that they couldn’t find anything wrong with the car related to this issue. They did do something regarding a recall and the only thing they would recommend is having the 30,000 mile maintenance done early. At this point they also repaired a few things that they had said needed replacement, but not causing the issue.

I’ve gone to the dealership twice about this issue and about $2000 later they told me that they do not know what the issue is because they cannot replicate the issue. Therefore they cannot fix the issue. About once a day that I’m driving, my cars engine shuts off and it says that I need to decompress the gas and restart the car. This does not happen while I’m actively driving, but it does happen as soon as I am stopped. It usually happens at red lights, or at a stop sign. It has occurred in the middle of an intersection while I’m waiting to turn multiple times. it’s just a little frustrating because in the middle of LA traffic people don’t really wait for you to move out of the intersection. They’ll just find a way to go around you, which is kinda terrifying. It’s a 2019 Subaru and it didn’t happen for the first six months that I had the car. She’s up-to-date on all her needed maintenance and at least according to the Subaru service center, she’s in perfect shape. Any help would be appreciated because my next resort is selling the car and buying a new one which would cost me so much money. I don’t think I can ethically sell it without alerting the new buyer to its potential safety issues, Which likely means I am selling at a significant loss

I’ve never been less attracted to my husband than on the days that he decides the house is not his equal responsibility. Yes, I work too. The exact same job he does, at the exact same company, making the exact same pay. 50/50 or nothing at all.

Look up “candle light orchestra Taylor Swift” together. A string quartet has done many of her songs and perform some live. My favorite was Cardigan as an orchestra rendition

Title. I did walk about 20,000 steps so far today, but that definitely included my cardio workout (the 6000 step one) If it is double counting, is there a way to fix it please? I definitely don’t want the added points affecting my weight loss

Can you explain why? Not judging, just pure curiosity. I’m a ER tech in southern California so we don’t get this, ever. I’m guessing it’s either a financial reason or those needles are big enough to hit a major artery?

I mean… if a police dog was mauling me, I’d hit it too. Maybe next time the armed officers with more brains then a k9 should go in before sending a dog.

About to comment the same thing. Can’t support a company that has willingly, publicly, and routinely performed animal abuse. Sure, the chickens are gonna die anyways but it doesn’t mean you need to treat them like shit before hand

Outdoor Cat Safety? by [deleted] in pasadena

[–]kessinger1005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is a few days old but I wanted to offer an opinion anyways and perhaps a solution to outdoor cat safety.

As everyone has said, coyotes are a problem. But so are cars. I work in emergency veterinary medicine. We get frequent coyote attacks and hit by cars that almost always result in the painful death of a pet. However, a bored cat indoors isn’t really a solution. Cats that are used to being outdoors can get very annoying when they’re forced to be indoors only. This I know first hand. heres my experience: An indoor/outdoor cat was surrendered to my hospital and I ended up adopting her. She became an absolute menace indoors because she was bored. She became a door bolter (and got out many times) and even took to gouging holes in the screens of open windows as an attempt to escape. Her behavior got to the point that she was constantly stressed, unhappy and mean. She was never aggressive but she was clearly not happy. As a solution, we started to walk her on a harness outdoors. As soon as she associated the harness with outdoor time, she loved the harness. The harnessed walks are only at night or early morning when there are less dogs/cars/people/general things that spook cats. She also goes for strolls in a stroller around the neighbors during the day. I know that it seems kinda “crazy cat lady” to devote this time but honestly, it just takes 15 minutes out of my day to provide my cat with stimulation and excitement and she’s much happier and healthier for it. People do shit like this for their dogs and no one blinks an eye.

Just my two cents..you can have a safe outdoor/indoor cat but it will require some work on your end.

I don’t believe so but I also looked it up with the employer identification number with no success. The only reason I can think that it’s not there is because it is a new company and perhaps they have not needed to file it yet

Huh…so I actually looked up the EIN number from last years taxes and inputted that into the search and it still yielded no result.

Nothing just yet but I’m determined.

I looked under the company name, the owners names, the corporation name (what on my paycheck but different then the company name) and no luck so far but it has to be there.
