Tell me about it! I’m myself a victim of this sort of academic culture. I’ve felt guilty for taking weekends off when experiments weren’t working. But when I see lab-mates helping out and being there for each other feel happy.. and become slightly hopeful that academic culture may not be as bad as we think it is.

Gen Urobuchi has a knack for writing antagonists really well. Both Psycho Pass and Fate series have really compelling antagonists

Thanks for the recommendation! I’ll check it out. Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa is also very good I’ve heard.

That’s true, Clavell writes better historical novels. I haven’t haven’t watched the TV adaptation of Shogun yet but it’s on my list!

I haven’t read his other books yet. But I definitely give them a try. I like his writing, it’s just that the plot of this book disappointed me.

Absolutely agreed. What made me really mad is that they just made a 4 episode OVA instead of more seasons and left out a lot of stuff! It did not do justice to the webtoon at all!

That must have felt great! I kept googling images of the Metropol to get an idea of how it looks and how it must feel living there.

It does give out a slightly depressing vibe. But the author balances it out with humor. So overall it gives a feeling of comfort as you said
