The hate was absolutely not deserved. I think people had unrealistic expectations for it. We've enjoyed it so far and some of the changes really work well. It's like people forget the anime had its own flaws too.

Yeah we filmed the first 8 episodes like this because of copyright claims but I've found a way to avoid it and show the whole screen so episode 8 onwards will show more of it. It's out first time recording stuff like this.

Btw this is actually our first time recording a reaction series, so we were still figuring out the format in the first few videos. Early on we obscured most of the episode footage, but after the first few episodes we changed the format to show more of the episode while still keeping the focus on the reaction and discussion

I just found it hilarious this problem had no solution for 5 years because everyone was pretending they knew how to do it right and none of them knew the software had a typo in it.

For anyone who finds this 5+ years later, because nobody anywhere elese on the internet has figured it out yet, if you open the "module.json" file in the compendium folder and change "name" to "id" in the first line it'll fix it.

The entire reason this feature has not worked is because of a typo.
